Tony invited Jackson for breakfast to hear what the stranger had to say. Rain had never felt so uncomfortable in her life sitting there with her mate and a rogue. What a fucking disaster. She watched as Jackson ate his meal, Rain not feeling up to eating anything.

“Why are you here?” She asked bluntly, Jackson looking up at her. He put his food down as if he wanted to give her his full attention.

“I told you. I’m here to help. I know you are probably feeling skeptical about me just showing up, but your mother told me to meet you at this exact location on this day. I take it you already transitioned into the Ultima Alpha?” He asked and Rain froze. She wanted to believe that the man was lying, but her wolf senses told her that he was speaking the truth.

“She told you about me becoming an Ultima Alpha? ” Rain asked him.

“She did, but this moment was the last of her visions. She made me promise her to help Tony protect you, even when you refuse. As you can sense, I am not lying to

Exhaustion set in after Kylie left Rain to rest in her tent. It felt as if she slept for hours after crying herself to sleep. She didn’t want to hurt innocent wolves with her new abilities. It was important to her that no one labeled her as a vicious monster. Rain was tired of always being fucking titled negatively. She had to fight against people calling her names her entire life. For once, she just wanted to be viewed as a normal she-wolf. As much as she wished for normalcy, there was no fucking way that could happen now that she was the one and only Ultima Alpha. As she woke from a dreamless sleep, someone covered her mouth to prevent her from screaming. She startled awake, staring into eyes she hadn’t looked into since being at Shadow Academy. That’s when her fears set in. “I told you I wasn’t fucking done with you.” Eric said mischievously, giving her a crooked smile just as he plunged a syringe into her neck. It was seconds before Rain saw nothing but darkness… What felt l

Rapid thoughts raced through Tony’s mind as Jackson confessed the truth about several rogue wolves that were exiled unfairly by his own father. It was cruel and unlike his father to act this recklessly. But then again, Tony was starting to realize that his father wasn’t the man that he portrayed to be, a fucking tyrant. Yes, his father had always been classified as stubborn and fierce, but exiling fellow pack members because he felt as if they weren’t worthy enough to be apart of the Shadow pack? That was a new low and it fucking made Tony’s blood boil and overflow with rage. Many of the rogues that joined them at the campsite were good people, and several of them had families. Jackson only spoke the truth and Tony watched as he began coaching Rain on how to use her new abilities. She was beautiful and a much stronger person than she admitted to herself. Even after they lost their child, Rain held her head up high and focused on ways to improve the well being of their pack. Not once

After leaving Shadow Academy, it had taken Emma 2 days to get to the isolated cabin in the woods. So, Rain knew it was going to be a two day return trip. Beta James left a few days before Tony and Rain to ensure they both were fully recovered. He purchased them a motorcycle and left them two million in cash to use as they pleased. The Elite wolves were filthy rich, but Rain wasn’t accustomed to having such large sums of money. Shit. This was something she could get use to. She was discharged from the hospital, Tony taking her to the nearest mall on their way back to the academy. As Rain sifted through different clothing, Tony approached her. “Why did you use your new Alpha Command to force me to go back to reclaim my title?” Tony asked her. “Because, you deserve your title. We have to face your father sometime. Don’t we?” She asked, Tony looking annoyed. “ I didn’t want my father knowing you were still alive if it would protect you. I’d give up everything for you Rain,” Tony

It took several days for Rain to recover from her resurrection. She was still suffering with intensive depression from the loss of her child. When her father told her about her absorbing her son’s power, Rain didn’t know if she should feel guilty or grateful. At least her son would always be with her. What she did know was that she felt like shit. Looking down at her abdomen where Alpha Leo plunged his arm through her, there was no trace of his attack. She had completely healed, but it was obvious that she suffered from blood loss and was weakened by the attack. After she was resurrected, the hospital attendees observed her closely. It was clear that they were both afraid and curious of the woman who returned from the dead. Rain later discovered that the attendees had tried to cremate her body. It was her father who stopped them. He was the pack’s Beta, so no one would dare question his command. Instead, they placed her in a hospital room comfortably and waited for further instructio

The rage he felt was endless, especially because it was his own father that had caused him to lose what he loved most. What had he done to deserve this fate?
