Alpha Leo’s speech was long and informative. It went over every detail in the Introductory Pamphlet. He definitely went over punishments for breaking the rules. He also made it clear that sec was forbidden at the academy. He emphasized that they all were there for their training and not to socialize with the opposite sex. After his speech, he told the candidates that they may enter the mansion and find their roommates.
Rain and Kylie gathered their luggage, Rain suddenly nervous to find out who would be her roommate. She didn’t have to worry about being paired with Eric since names and females couldn’t room together. But, what if she had to room with Monica. Rain would surely lose her shit and probably get expelled. She smiled at the thought. It wouldn’t be the first time she was expelled. Everyone entered the mansion and Rain couldn’t stop herself from smiling at how immaculate the building was. The sculptures in the lobby were beautiful. Upon entering the building there was a couches in a large sitting area, an inside garden area in the center of the room, and a beautiful stained glass sun roof. There were two archways facing one another, one on each side of the room. To the right was a hallway for the women leading to the female dormitories. The left archway led to the male dormitories. Each student received a room key. Rain’s key read Room 13. “Awesome. Rain, I’m in Room 13 too. We’re roommates!” Kylie announced and Rain smiled. Rain suddenly had a strong feeling that she would actually enjoy being at Shadow Academy. Just as easy as she felt happiness, she suddenly felt rage. Why was she suddenly feeling so angry, she was happy to have Kylie as a roommate. This feeling was abrupt, and she almost had to gasp for air. “I’m not rooming with that asshole!” A voiced boomed across the room. Rain instantly turned and witnessed Tony arguing with Alpha Leo. Eric stood next to Alpha Leo and Rain had a strong feeling that Tony didn’t want to be anywhere near Eric. Eric just smiled, and Rain knew he found Tony’s reaction comical. What an egotistical asshole. “What’s the issue Tony? Eric is our highest ranking male guardian and he will be assigned to you. As next in line to be alpha, you should be grateful. Are we clear?” Alpha Leo demanded and Tony stared at his father angrily. The alpha’s aura blazed red at his frustration with his son. “Yes sir,” Tony responded without argument, Alpha Leo walking away without another word. Rain felt the tension between Tony and Eric, but Eric seemed to find Tony’s reaction to him amusing. She listened with her wolf ears, watching the two males stand in front of one another. “How exactly do you know Rain? All I was doing was trying to talk to her when you felt the need to fucking interfere. Why?” Eric asked Tony. “Do you always fracture the arms of people you try to talk to?” Tony asked him. “Big fucking deal. I lost my temper. Shit. I wasn’t trying to hurt her. It was an accident. Are you fucking my ex-girlfriend?” Eric said bluntly, taking Tony by surprise. “What? No. I don’t even know her.” Tony responded honestly and Eric looked at him, knowing he was speaking the truth. “Interesting. Then do us both a favor and stay the fuck away from her. She’s mine and no one else’s. You stay out of my way and I will stay out of yours. If you don’t, then I don’t think we’ll get along very well” Eric warned him. His ego was disgusting. Rain hated that he was so adamant that she was his. She didn’t belong to anyone. “I’ll be right back Kylie.” Rain told her new friend. She walked over to the two guys. She needed Eric to know that she didn’t belong to him. Tony was surprised when Rain appeared. Had she seen everything that happened? “Stop telling people I’m yours. I don’t fucking belong to you Eric!” She said madly. “We’ll see about that won’t we?” He said in her ear, smiled, and walked to his dorm. She hated that she was still attracted to him. They’d been together a long time and she hated that she couldn’t stop loving him. She hated that he’d been so great in bed and that she still felt that attachment. She wouldn’t let herself go back to him, but it didn’t stop her from wanting him. She did miss having sex. It had been a while and she really could use the release. When she realized she was standing next to Tony, she faced him. “I’m Rain. Tony, right?” She smiled and introduced herself to the alpha. She could see him relax as their eyes me. Rain felt her need for him grow stronger and she could feel that he felt guilty about their last encounter. Somehow, she knew that he wanted to talk to her. “Yeah. You’re the Miller girl right? Your family’s been protecting my family for decades,” he told her. “Yeah, that would correct. I appreciate your help earlier, but you might not want to start problems with Eric. He’ll make your life a living hell. But, thanks for being there earlier. I was so mad I didn’t realize he fractured my arm, “ she explained. The way he looked at her made her want to kiss him. He suddenly smiled as if he thought about something funny in his mind. “It’s no problem. It’s nice to meet you Rain. See you around” he told her and walked away. Rain watched him retreat into the male dormitory area. There was something about this guy that made her feel safe. Maybe he had another side to him that others didn’t know about. After all, he had protected her and that was something she’d never forget. Rain found herself smiling. As Rain returned to Kylie, she thought about what she was feeling. She knew Tony was a player, and it wasn’t unlike her to not go for the bad boys. Did she like him? After all, she felt a strong need to get to know him. Maybe Shadow Academy would be more fun than she thought it would be. On the other end, Eric was going to be her biggest dilemma. Rain hooked arms with Kylie as they headed to their dorm. The one thing that Rain was grateful for was her new friend. She never had friends, but Kylie seemed genuinely interested in getting to know her. As they entered their new room and unpacked, the girls went over their classes, the sexy boys that we noticed, and about the candidates. Rain told Kylie everything, even her experience with Eric. When she started talking about Tony, Kylie stopped and just listened. She stared at Rain as she smiled as she talked about Tony in detail. When Rain realized that Kylie wasn’t moving or speaking, she stopped and faced her. “What’s wrong? Am I talking too much?” Rain asked. Kylie had a serious look on her face, which made Rain nervous. “Rain, I think you share the mate bond with Tony.” Kylie said softly. “ Mate bond?” Rain asked and thought for a moment. Why hadn’t she realized how strong her connection was with Tony. She felt everything he felt, and he must be able to feel what she’s been feeling. That would explain why he had protected her when Eric was hurting her. Her mate bond had been triggered with Alpha Leo’s son. Shit. This couldn’t be happening. How? Only an Elite wolf could develop a mate bond with another Elite wolf. It made Rain question where she really came from. Did she come from a family full of Elite wolves? That’s impossible, isn’t it?Tony hated hospitals with a passion. Being in the building reminded him constantly of how he failed to protect his mate and child. The rage he felt was endless, especially because it was his own father that had caused him to lose what he loved most. What had he done to deserve this fate? Why was he allowed to live instead of Rain and Christian? His father had broken several of his bones to prevent him from saving his family, but Tony desire was to die alongside them. The agony that he felt when he felt Rain’s life slip away was unbearable. It made him feel as if his life was meaningless. Even in an unconscious state, he felt every ounce of Rain being murdered. It was bad enough that he witnessed his son’s throat being violently torn out by his own father. And he had just sworn to the love of his life that he would always protect their son. It was early in the morning when Tony had awaken from his coma. It took a few days for his body to recover enough to wake him from his injuries.
Rain couldn’t be happier in her life. After leaving Shadow Academy, Emma took them to a secluded cabin miles away deep within an isolated forest. She knew that this was the same cabin location from the vision her unborn child shared with her. Months had passed and Rain had given birth to a handsome baby boy. She named him Christian, just as his name was always destined to be. A year had passed since they fled the academy, and Christian was now 3 months old. Giving birth had been quite the experience for Rain. She had such a complicated birthing experience that she almost lost her life. In the end, both her and her baby pulled through just fine. She spent most days cuddling her infant, knowing that her time with him was limited. He was handsome like Tony, having his father’s incredible gray eyes. Unlike Tony’s brownish hair, Christian had golden blonde hair like Rain. He was indeed a very powerful and special child. Not only did he share his visions with them often, Christian never b
Rain stared at Beta James. This man was her biological father, and he confirmed the vision given to her by her unborn child. She felt a sudden warmth within her, wondering if it was her baby causing her to feel that way or because she finally knew about her past. “Why are you telling me this now?”Rain asked Beta James. He studied her face as if he was in deep thought. She couldn’t tell if she saw fear or anticipation from his facial expressions. “What did Christian show you?” He asked her. Rain wasn’t surprised that he knew that she had gotten a vision from her unborn child or that he knew his name. “Christian?” Tony said in confusion. “Rain’s mother saw both of your futures, including your son’s future. He will be unlike anyone in this pack,” Beta James explained. There was a long pause, Rain watching Tony as he came to the realization that he was going to have a son. “He showed me the day you took me to live with Emma,” Rain said truthfully. “That was the last day I saw
The sunlight from Tony’s bedroom window woke Rain up the next morning. She had never felt as rested as she did in that moment. It was so early that no one in the dorms were awake. Rain quickly sat up, realizing she fell asleep in the male dorm area. According to the rules, she could be locked up in a dungeon or beaten for breaking this sacred rule. “Relax, you won’t be punished. I will never let anything happen to you,” Tony spoke and Rain looked up to see Tony staring at her. They smiled to one another, Tony sitting up and kissing her softly on her lips. Rain relaxed, all her fears evaporating whenever he touched her. “I still should get back. Make sure you win today,” she told him and smiled. “If you are there, then I will make sure I keep my title,” he told her. Rain dressed and snuck out of his room. She quickly walked to the female dorms when she ran into Alpha Leo. Despite falling for his son, Rain had a strong feeling that Alpha would never approve of them being togethe
Rain cried until she passed out from exhaustion. She fell into a deep sleep on one of the lounge chairs. When she opened her eyes, Tony was sitting on the ground beside her. He must have been there for a while because he was fast asleep. She slowly sat up and he opened his eyes, sitting up to look at her. “Why are you here?” She asked sadly, exhaustion in her voice. “I’m sorry Rain,” he apologized. “You don’t owe me anything.” She said emotionless. “It doesn’t change that I hurt you.” He told her sympathetically. Their eyes locked, but Rain forced herself to look away from him. She stood up and fixed her clothes. “Just stay away from me. It’ll make it easier for the both of us,” she told him. “You can’t hurt people I sleep with because you’re angry with me,” he told her. “I’ll do whatever the fuck I please. Who’s going to stop me? You?” Rain said coldly and she could see fear in his eyes. “I only fucked around with Mya because I wanted to forget you. I wasn’t thinking
For the rest of the week, Rain stayed in her dorm crying. Kylie stayed by her side after Rain told her what happened in the library. Kylie tried to cheer her up, but there was nothing she could say that would make Rain feel as if she hadn’t been rejected by her mate. The night before the first day of training, Rain woke up in the middle of the night screaming in pain. Tony was being intimate with someone and her wolf lost her fucking shit. Rain’s wolf felt feelings of rage, pain, and envy simultaneously. Her mate was with another woman and her wolf was grieving by his actions. Why was he doing this to her? He knew it would hurt her. Kylie laid in bed with Rain, her scent soothing her just enough to lessen her pain. They fell asleep together, Rain crying herself to sleep. Rain woke up the next morning pissed off. She knew it was her wolf making her feel that way. She felt as if she were in a daze as she dressed in her uniform and readied herself for training. After she dressed, sh
