There was something about that question that put Devin on the edge. He growled, biting back the urge to disconnect Clarence's head from his neck. It would raise the people's suspicions but who says accidents don't happen?

"Listen, I might not like you but I like your sister, okay? It's nothing harmless." He raised his hands in surrender but that didn't soften Devin's hard gaze.

Devin crossed his arms and sighed deeply.

"I'm not against you liking her. Just try not to do anything crazy around her."

He couldn't have her. She was his sister. And if he acted too overprotective, he was sure to get lost in it.

"But for now, stay away." Devin annoyingly poked Clarence's chest before dragging Ayra away against her wish.

"I told you he wasn't bothering me. Why do you have to be so overbearing sometimes?" She rolled her eyes. They were on their way home and he had let go of her hand.
