When I got home, it was dark.

I couldn't help hugging my legs and crying.

After an unknown period of time, the door opened. I looked up at Jack.

He could see all the grievances in my eyes.

His face instantly turned pale.

He quickly walked up to me and picked me up. "Jessica?"

I couldn't control myself anymore. I hugged his neck and burst into tears.

When I finally stopped crying, he held my hand and stood up. "Are you hungry?"

My eyes were swollen from crying. I was ugly. I avoided his gaze and nodded.
