"Guess who's back to steal the throne from you!"

Everyone's attention were drawn to a certain guy who walked towards a vacant seat at the back.

He looked at the whole class with a straight face, and that's when I've realized... He's still the same old loser.

Most of them were probably intimidated by his looks, but me?

I'm used to it.

The classroom that was once a graveyard suddenly turned into a shindig – the absence of our professor added to the freedom of the so-called star section.

"WHAAAAA!!"

"WELCOME BACK, TREYTON!"

"TREYTON!!! TREYTON!!!"

Everyone chanted and seemingly worshipped his name. And there's only one obvious reason behind their unending laud.

They're whipped for his good-ass look and wits. Fragile? Yes. Vulnerable? Yes. Girls today are so troublesome.

"Naks! May makakasama ka na naman sa debate niyan, Azi!"

Pinukulan ko ng tingin ang seatmate kong si Elle, na animo'y nanunudyo.

"I don't see him as a threat." Pagmamayabang ko naman saka itinuon ang atensyon ko sa ginuguhit ko sa sketch pad.

"But you see him as your lover. Jokes on you, bes!" Aniya.

"There's no way that'll happen!" Agad naman akong dumepensa. Matapos 'yon ay mabilis na lumipat ang tingin ko sa lalaking bagong dating sa classroom.

He's Treyton Reiss Miller, a Senior High student with a mixture of Filipino and Canadian race. And the most thrilling fact? He is my rival.

In terms of intelligence, yes, we're on a series of battles since both of us are candidates for the Valedictorian honorary within our batch.

No one could deny that he's a tough opponent.

Our bond within the four corners of this room seemed like water and oil, to the extent that we even loathe each other.
