CHAPTER 4: Dreams Part 2

They were put in separate rooms and she was able to enjoy the massage. It’s been years since she had her last massage appointment and it really helps her be more relaxed. She fell asleep.

She saw a lady wearing long sleeves and a skirt. She was holding a pen in her hand and seemed to be talking to the people in front of her. She seemed to be discussing something as she pointed at a person sometimes and the person would answer her.

She couldn’t fathom what was written on the projector behind her though.

“Kaia,” she heard someone speaking from the background.

The lady looked at the door before answering “Oh, hi Jake,” she greeted the man then looked at the people in the room. “Everyone, this is Jake, our Regional Manager.”

“Hi, guys, how has your training been so far? He then covered his mouth and quietly said “Ping me if you want to report Kaia, alright?” he jokingly said as he looked at the lady at the door.

“Don’t worry, we’ll keep you updated.” a voice was heard from the background that made the people laugh.

The man who was introduced as Jake can also be seen laughing at the joke.

“Enjoy your training guys and we’re excited to see you on the floor. The supervisors may visit you one of these days so you could see how good looking people are in our company.”  Kaia was smiling and shaking her head but seemed to be enjoying the break she was able to have when the man came to her room.

“Alright, guys, I’ll see you around.” The man left them and asked Kaia to go out with him. They had a little talk outside before Kaia went in again and closed the door.

She saw the same girl, this time, it looks like she was in some sort of diner. She was talking with some people around the table and seemed to be having fun. They seemed to be talking about something, sometimes even laughing, she was waving her hands at them and the people on the table were laughing at what she had said.

Another scene unfolds and this time, the same girl was with a man. She looked different, she had a different aura in her. It seems like this girl is ready to fight and is willing to do anything to make sure that she is not pinned down. She also looked so confident with the way she stands and talks with the man.

Her expression and the way her hands and mouth move makes her feel like she is very agitated at the moment and something must have really pissed her off. It’s as if she is ready to punch the other person anytime she hears something she did not like. She looked really mad and was about to hit the person she was with when the scene changed into something else. She was about to swing her hands on the other person when the scene changed into something else.

There seemed to be a party, she recognized some people around the table. They were her college friends, they seemed to be having some celebratory drinks. They looked elated but they didn't look drunk to her, then she saw herself. She was dancing on the floor, she was dancing with different people, they recognized some of them, they were also going to the same university. It seems like everyone in this place knows each other. Then she saw another face, that of their English professor. She was different from her usual self in the classroom. Seems like she is having fun with the students as well instead of her usual strict aura. She saw someone approaching her.

“Mrs. Drumfeeld?”

She opened her eyes and took in her surroundings. She saw candles and realized she was still in the spa room. She must have been really relaxed, had slept, even had a weird dream.

It took her a minute to respond to the smiling aide standing beside her.

“You definitely deserved a kudos,” it’s the first thing she said when she was able to get up from the massage bed. The young lady was just smiling at her.

“Do you think Mr. Drumfeeld is also done with his session?” she asked as she fixed her hair. She doesn’t know what she looks like at the moment and if she had said anything while she was dreaming. She knew she was a sleep talker when she was young but then again no one can tell those things to her now.

“Yes, he’s actually waiting for you outside.” the smiling aide smiled at her.

“Oh, thank you, he must be hungry, coz I am.” She started fixing her clothes as well, not minding the aide still in the room as she was also fixing all the things she must have used during the session. “Thank you dear, it was really a wonderful session.” She took a bill in her purse and gave it to her before she left the room.

There she saw Taylor on the couch. He really looks good on his pink shirt and khaki shorts. He’s wearing sneakers and shades to compliment the cap he was also wearing. She couldn’t fathom why this man does not have any girlfriend and does not seem to be interested with the ladies ogling him.

He looked up from his phone and saw her walking towards him. He stood up and opened his arms. This man does not know how people would react to such innocent action. It was innocent with them as they have been friends for a long time and he has been this sweet to them, not just her but Ara and Jane. And that is the main reason as to why Jane did not have a boyfriend until she went to her mom’s in another state. They were always together so they didn't have time with other people, though Taylor did have the chance to stay in a dormitory where he became a man instead of the soft Taylor they grew up with.

He gave her a soft hug and walked with her to the door.

“So, what would you like to have for dinner?”

“I could have just anything at this moment, T.”

“We’ll I’m starving and need to have some good food before we leave for home.” He stopped in his tracks and held her hand.“Are you still not telling me why you would like to go home tonight?” He asked, trying to look at Kei’s eyes as she tried to avoid him.

She is still not sure how to explain things to him since she has no answers herself. How would she explain that she cannot remember what had happened to her in the past three years and that she is currently living with a man whom she barely knew.

“I’ll let you know once I get answers, okay?” She bumped his shoulders and started walking towards a restaurant.

“But you are okay, right?” He’s not letting her go.

“Of course I am, there really is nothing to worry about, T. I would give you a ring once we get home when I need help. Cheer up, let’s have fun tonight. I promise I won’t sleep in the car.” She said before leaving him on the curb of the road.
