CHAPTER 7: Answers
Kei stood still at her door and waited until she couldn't see Taylor’s car anymore. She went straight to the stairs, their unit is on the second floor and she is okay with using the stairs instead of the lift. She unlocked her door and was expecting the light to turn on but it didn’t. She worriedly searched for her phone in the bag and used its flashlight. She went to the living room and tried the lights as well but there seemed to be no power.
She looked outside the window to see that other buildings are well lit while theirs isn’t. She went to the kitchen and opened the fridge to get some water but was also surprised that it seemed to be turned off though the water was still cool. She took a sip of the water still thinking why their electricity was cut off when she saw the note on the fridge.

She was surprised when Keanna took the light that night, she didn't know what Kyla would be doing. She is the other alter of Keanna and she likes to party, she is always rebellious, she likes doing things that a decent woman wouldn’t do. She is not someone who would break the law per se but she is troublesome. They usually have a conflict whenever she takes the light.She came out because Keanna has been dormant for a long time and Kyla has been nothing but folly and troublesome. She just does things she wants to do without even thinking about the consequences. She knew this because half of the time that Keanna was dormant she was able to see Kyla and what she does, although there were times that she is blocked out and most often that not when those times occur, she would need to be out the next day so she could fix whatever it is that Kyla has done.

She saw a woman who looked like her again, walking around the house. She couldn’t tell if it was Kaia but she seemed anxious and worried. She took a look at the living room where the woman was and she could not distinguish the house. Then she heard a car stop, the woman in the living room almost jumped to her feet and ran to the bedroom. Someone approached the door, jigged with the keys and unlocked the door.She looked at him and tried to remember if she had seen him elsewhere. Kaia was in the middle of a meeting when Keanna took the light. Fortunately, she was there as an audience. Keanna almost went out of the room when she noticed people she doesn’t know sitting with her at the conference table. Then she saw Carrie, looking at her. It seemed like she noticed something changed in her. The meeting ended after an hour and although she was not sure what the meeting was about, she knew it would be important for Kaia and hers in case Kaia goes dormant. She was watching TV when she heard what Jaymee said and she didn’t like it one bit. Wanting to show her disagreement with the decision she took the light but she was surprised to see another man in the room. She knows he likes Kaia more than her and the fact that Kaia is always out since she has to make sure that their system has what they need. For her (Kyla), she just wants to be able to enjoy her life but there are some things that stop her from having one. She wanted to be a doctor but gave up on the idea, but she still likes watching television shows or dramas that take hospital scenes. She is not a good one to manage time, she could just watch tv the whole day and night, sometimes even non-stop forty-eight hours. Kaia had to take the light from Kyla when she started to feel nervous and was about to break down as it is her job to take care of them. She needed to make sure that their system is in good condition and that they are not harmed in any way. She doesn’t know what happened when she was pulled back or what has transpired. She found herself in a cubicle and someone was knocking at the door. She looked down at herself and she was still wearing the clothes she usually wears in the office. She saw the scratches she has on her arms and good thing she always brings a cardigan in her bag. Another knock came at the door. “Miss, are you okay in there? Would you like us to call someone for you?” Offers the person outside of the cubicle. She made sure she looked okay before she opened the door.
