Chapter 24: Alter Revealed

She could still feel her anger when she reached the house. She would have gone somewhere if not for the guy who kept bugging her after the fight she had with the woman.

“That woman didn’t have any manners.” she kept on muttering. “That really hurts, I should’ve just punched her instead of pulling her hair.” She was still muttering when she opened the door and was surprised to see Jaymee sitting on the couch.

“Don’t tell me you’re waiting for me?” she asked as she went to the kitchen and opened the can of beer she bought. “Want some?” 

“Where have you been?” 

“Oh, come on!” She exasperatedly sat on one of the stools at the kitchen. “Are you my father? Didn’t I tell you we shouldn't be minding each other’s business?”
