Chapter 5

I ended up sleeping on the couch. You are probably wondering how I was able to sleep after a guy literally appeared and disappeared right in front of me last night. Don't judge me, sleep is important.

I climbed the stairs up to my room. I know I said I won't be going into my room anymore but I have to bath duh.

On entering the bathroom, after making sure the lock was secured, I proceeded to brush my teeth only to see that the blue strands in my hair had disappeared and instead, my hair had turned fully blue.

I wasn't freaking out. You might be wondering how and I wasn't freaking out about this matter because every normal person would have been freaked out since the first day they find out that their hair turned blue overnight.

I believe the reason for the whole thing is probably because I ate something strange and my body is reacting to it or something. It's not a reasonable reason but trust me, that "reason" is what's keeping me from freaking out because if I actually find out the real reason my hair turned blue, I'd freakingly freak out and go all ballistic and paranoid.

I took my bath and dressed up for school. Figuring my weird blue hair would stick out, I stuffed it under a beanie.

It was too late to make breakfast so I just took an apple and headed to the bus stop.

Till I got to school, all I was thinking of was what Raven said last night. What does he mean by I have something that belongs to him. We've only met twice and haven't even had much contact.

Or is he trying to rope me into a thief? He probably thinks I stole something of his when he caught me from falling at the cafe. Tsk, that jerk.

Someone brushed me a little to side jerking me out of my thoughts. It was Ria.

"Jeez Ria." I rolled my eye.

"Your body is here but your mind has gotten to South Korea. Do you have any idea how long I've been calling your name?" She scoffed and I sighed.

"What exactly were you thinking about?" She questioned.

"I'm telling you Ria, strange things are happ-" I was cut off mid sentence by the screams and shrills of girls.

"Omg Raven you're so handsome!"

"Zelan you're cute!"

"You guys are so cool!!"

I rolled my eyes.

"What's wrong with these girls. I know they're good looking but it's not like these guys are gods or anything." I scoffed.

I turned to Ria. "Ria, you really don't th-" aaaaaand she's gone. Ria had poofed from my side. And guess where that sneaky brat was? She had joined the other girls in swooning over the boys who were taking their precious time from getting down from their car.

I shook my head and walked into the school building.

On my way to my locker, my phone rang. It was my mum.

"Hello mum."

"Sweetie. How are you?"

"I'm sane as I can be." I said sighing. I could imagine her rolling her eyes at my statement.

"You've arrived at your destination?"

"Yes, we just arrived early this morning. Work starts soon. I just called to check up on you. Make sure yiu eat properly, I left you enough money to get some food stuffs." I could hear shuffling as she spoke, like she was unpacking or something.

"Speaking of money, mum, can you like....sendalittlebitmore?" I winced as I said the rest of my sentence in one breath waiting for her to fire back.

"Send more money? For what? To order unhealthy take outs?? Jasmine, I've given you enough money. Buy yourself food stuffs. And by food stuffs, I mean real and good food not take out. Do you understand?" She nagged.

"Yes ma'am." I muttered.

"I can't hear you, speak louder."

"Yes ma'am." I said loudly earning stares from few.

"Good. Give your dad a call. I'll call you later. Bye sweetie." She hung up.

Sheesh, my mum and her unending nags.

I dialed my dad's number and he picked up after the fourth dial.

"Hmm good morning princess." His voice sounded extra groggy and sleepy.

"Dad, did I wake you up?"

"No, not at all honey!" He cleared his throat and spoke loudly. A small smile tugged at my lips.

"Well, I just called to check up on you."

"Yes yes, I'm okay, I'm good. How about you? You sound upset. What's wrong princess?" He asked with worry etched in his voice.

"The thing is, I asked mum for some money and she just nagged me over the phone." I said pouting like he could see me.

He laughed.

"Oh honey, you should have known your mum by now. Don't worry, I'll wire you some money. Is that good?"

"Yes, yes daddy....I love youuuu. Muah muah!" I jubilated and did a little happy dance.

He chuckled. "I love you too honey. Let me leave you so you can head to class. Bye honey." He hung up.

Now, this is exactly why I love my dad. He didn't even ask what I needed that money for while my mom nagged and nagged tch.

I did my little happy dance as I picked my materials from my locker.

"What's with you?" Ria peeped from behind the door of my locker.

I rolled my eyes, slammed my locker shut and walked off ignoring her.

She ran after me.

"You're done ogling over your "gods"?" I deadpanned.

"What? You're jealous?" She nudged me playfully.

I rolled my eyes, again.

"Jealous? Me? Tch!" I took longer strides forward avoiding her gaze. Of course I was jealous. My own best friend left me to ogle over some boys!!!

I mean, who wouldn't be?

"They're so good looking and we can't let those good looks of theirs go to waste." She defended.

"You've got some real problem." I scoffed and she gave me the "Really?" look.

"What?" I shrugged.

"Look who's talking. You're the one with the problem. With your weird blue hair. Speaking of hair, what's with the beanie?"

I removed the beanie, letting my hair cascade down my back. My action earned me a few stares from students in the hallway. Meanwhile, Ria's eyes were as wide as saucers.

"Holy Shit! Your hair turned fully blue!!!" She said with her mouth still wide open. "And I'm the one with a problem?? Dude you've got some serious thing going on."

I sighed and shoved my hair back under the beanie.

"Why don't you shave it or something. I'd love to see you bald." She laughed out loud or should I say snorted.

"You laugh like a pig." I imitated her laugh and burst into laughter while doing it.

We looked at each other and then burst into laughter.

The bell threw us out of our laughing fits and we headed to class still holding our stomachs which hurt from laughing too much.

Not long after I'd settled on my seat, Blue eyes and his friend Zelan entered the class and went to their seats.

While waiting for the teacher to arrive, everyone was busy chatting and all. Ria had flown to the other side of the class gisting with the other girls about make up and fashion.

I turned around to face Raven who was busy with a book in hand.

"Hello???? Good morning to you too. You're really not going to explain anything? Yesterday?? Do you recollect???" I whispered, not wanting to let anyone know the school's new hot shot was at my house last night.

"What? I don't remember anything." He whispered back with a playful smirk on his face.

That jerk was teasing me.

"Really??? You're gonna play dumb? Wait till I cast your secret to the whole school." I whisper-yelled.

"Why are we whispering?" He asked raising one of his brows.

He evaded my question?

I stood up, walked over to his seat and slammed my hand on his table loudly.

I inched my face closer to his. "Quit acting dumb you asshole and explain what you said to me yesterday." I said in a low voice with my teeth clenched.

He suddenly moved his face a lot closer to mine, taking me by surprise and making me jerk backwards in shock. He tilted his head to the side with an amused look on his face.

I realized the proximity of our faces and my face flushed. If only he moved a bit closer, our lips would touch. His strong cologne wafted through my nose and my mind went blank. My heart was beating uncontrollably like the first time he saved me at the cafe.
