Kiara:

The world spun as I fought to open my eyes.

I could hear voices beside me.

None of what they said made sense to me.

“Kiara…” I heard his voice call, my husband begged for me to wake up. I wanted to, I wanted to open my eyes for him, to assure him that I was hearing him. But my eyelids wouldn’t open. I couldn’t let them function to do what I wanted them to.

“Princess, open those beautiful green orbs for me. Let me look at you” I heard him beg, I wanted to, but again, I couldn’t.

I moved my finger as I fought to open my eyes. I knew that they were fluttering to open, but I fought to open them. I knew that I needed to open them, I had to go back to reality. My body weakening wasn’t right.
