Chapter 4: Prepare for the Meeting

- Back at Lycon Industries -

"Nyx is your report ready for the meeting later? We will need to share updates for the progress of the marketing efforts for the year, and your presentation is the final piece, which makes it the most important part of the whole meeting!" the marketing director, Jean, barked at her. "Revel, make sure that the presentation is complete before 2pm so that I can take a final look before the meeting at 3pm. We absolutely cannot mess this up!" Jean shot at Revel before he turned and left the room.

Rolling their eyes, Nyx and Revel turned back to their computers to look at the presentation that they worked on for the past two weeks. "He really thinks he's going to be the next Marketing head? With an attitude like that, no wonder he hasn't gotten a promotion in the past 7 years!" Nyx muttered as she glared at the numbers on her screen. She had poured her heart and soul into this presentation as it was her very first major presentation since joining Lycon Industries a year ago, and this would be the first time that her efforts would be shown to the 'Dev' himself.

Revel chuckled at Nyx's evident irritation as he leaned over her shoulder to check through her presentation once more. He had stayed with her through many late nights in the office as she dedicated all her focus to ensuring that this report was perfect for the meeting today, so he knew the presentation as well as she did. "Don't worry, I was here with you all the way, I already know that this presentation is going to be awesome! You have nothing to worry about, just focus on being able to present it well later on." he said, in an attempt to reassure Nyx and calm her down.

Nyx huffed in irritation as she flipped her hair, "I know that! I've even prepared my script for later just to make sure that I don't fumble over my words and mess up my presentation, so get ready for a show later on!" she said as she carefully scanned through her presentation once last time. After she was satisfied that the presentation was all done according to what she wanted it to be, she sent it over to the tech team to upload in the meeting room before taking out her mirror to touch up her make up and getting ready for the meeting.
