Hearing his mumble, her heart sank a little, but she spoke "Well this isn't going to be forever, you can take my bedroom for as long as you're here, so you can put your stuff down in there. I'll just sleep on the sofa." Devin raised an eyebrow at Nyx's words, before clearing his throat and replying, "Whoever said you're going to be sleeping on the sofa? Your bed is big enough to fit us both. You'll be sharing your bed, with me."

Chapter 1: Late for Work
"Oh man I'm going to be late for work, AGAIN!!!" Nyx wailed to herself as she scrambled out of bed. Rushing through her morning routine, Nyx quickly chose a simple black dress out of her wardrobe and lightly applied a touch of concealer to hide her dark eye circles. Slipping into her favourite sneakers, she flew out of the house and sped to work in her Veloster.
Nyx avoided eye contact with her work best friend, Revel, who smirked knowingly at her as she crept into the office and slid into her seat as quietly as she could. "So, what is it today? Your bed didn't want to let you leave again?" as the soft 'ping' of the work messenger app sounded on Nyx's computer. "Oh shush, you. Do you have a granola bar, I'm so hungry I could eat a cow right now" Nyx replied while rolling her eyes at Revel.
Revel snorted under his breath as he reached into his stash of granola bars that he secretly kept exclusively for Nyx and tossed one over to her. Nyx flashed him a soft smile of thanks, making his heart skip a beat. "Mmm you're the best Rev, you always have my favourite flavour!" Nyx sent him the message while hungrily gobbling down on the granola bar. "That's because I only buy them for you, you dummy", Revel thought to himself. "That's because you copied me Ny, I liked this flavour first!" He replied and stuck out his tongue at her.

Devin raised his eyebrows at Alexis's elated expression, then decided that he wasn't in the mood to entertain her that day, not after the long conversation (or nagging, as he would call it) that he had with his mother earlier in his office. "Sigh, fine. I'll go for the dinner alone, you go enjoy your date." Devin muttered as he stomped back to his office and shut the door. Alexis stuck out her tongue at his back, "You're just salty because I have a date and YOU DON'T" Alexis thought to herself as she hummed, packing her things and preparing to leave for the day.- Back in the marketing room... - Revel was also packing up his things, as quietly as he could so as to not disturb the rest. He had to head home and prepare for the dinner that evening with Alexis Cazal, the office's goddess. Even though he liked Nyx, he couldn't deny that Alexis was attractive. Not only was she curvy in all the right places, she held herself with a air of self-confidence and was ridiculously smart as well.
