Chapter 11: Getting Ready

Devin raised his eyebrows at Alexis's elated expression, then decided that he wasn't in the mood to entertain her that day, not after the long conversation (or nagging, as he would call it) that he had with his mother earlier in his office. "Sigh, fine. I'll go for the dinner alone, you go enjoy your date." Devin muttered as he stomped back to his office and shut the door. Alexis stuck out her tongue at his back, "You're just salty because I have a date and YOU DON'T" Alexis thought to herself as she hummed, packing her things and preparing to leave for the day.

Revel was also packing up his things, as quietly as he could so as to not disturb the rest. He had to head home and prepare for the dinner that evening with Alexis Cazal, the office's goddess. Even though he liked Nyx, he couldn't deny that Alexis was attractive. Not only was she curvy in all the right places, she held herself with a air of self-confidence and was ridiculously smart as well.
