Chapter 1: Late for Work
"Oh man I'm going to be late for work, AGAIN!!!" Nyx wailed to herself as she scrambled out of bed. Rushing through her morning routine, Nyx quickly chose a simple black dress out of her wardrobe and lightly applied a touch of concealer to hide her dark eye circles. Slipping into her favourite sneakers, she flew out of the house and sped to work in her Veloster.
Nyx avoided eye contact with her work best friend, Revel, who smirked knowingly at her as she crept into the office and slid into her seat as quietly as she could. "So, what is it today? Your bed didn't want to let you leave again?" as the soft 'ping' of the work messenger app sounded on Nyx's computer. "Oh shush, you. Do you have a granola bar, I'm so hungry I could eat a cow right now" Nyx replied while rolling her eyes at Revel.
Revel snorted under his breath as he reached into his stash of granola bars that he secretly kept exclusively for Nyx and tossed one over to her. Nyx flashed him a soft smile of thanks, making his heart skip a beat. "Mmm you're the best Rev, you always have my favourite flavour!" Nyx sent him the message while hungrily gobbling down on the granola bar. "That's because I only buy them for you, you dummy", Revel thought to himself. "That's because you copied me Ny, I liked this flavour first!" He replied and stuck out his tongue at her.

Love Sees Us Through Chapter 2: Lunch Time
Walking side-by-side, Nyx and Revel squabbled endlessly over what to have for lunch. "It's so hot today and you want to have RAMEN???" Nyx said with an exasperated look. "There's no law that says we can't eat ramen when it's hot!" Revel shot back with an equally exasperated look. Stopping in front of their favourite ramen joint, Nyx threw her hands up in defeat and said "Oh FINE, I'll let you win today since I'm in a good mood. - Back at Lycon Industries - "Nyx is your report ready for the meeting later? We will need to share updates for the progress of the marketing efforts for the year, and your presentation is the final piece, which makes it the most important part of the whole meeting!" the marketing director, Jean, barked at her. "Revel, make sure that the presentation is complete before 2pm so that I can take a final look before the meeting at 3pm. We absolutely cannot mess this up!" "YOU BLOODY IMBECILE, CAN'T YOU DO ANYTHING RIGHT?!?!?!" Jean hollered at Nyx in rage as Nyx cowered in her seat. He was puzzled too, since he was very certain that the numbers were the amounts that were given to them by Jean.
