Sandra

Another day of highschool hell had arrived. Waking up on a Monday morning was always a struggle. You'd swear I was a knight wagging war towards another land. In this case the land would be my bed.  I stood outside the house,  waiting patiently for Peter to show up but he took longer than expected. I think he woke up later than me.

I began to walk to school since I didn't want to be late for class. It was not too long of a distace but I had no choice but to increase my pace.

While walking, i heard the sound of a car beep from behind me. I was very certain it wasn't Peter. He didn't like the beep of a car.  I continued with my journey, daring not to turn my gaze to see who was making that continuous beeping sound. I then stopped walking to allow the noisy car to pass. I turned my gaze to look but was surprised to see that it was my classmates.  The twins and their shared boyfriend Tyler.

The Finley sister's threw raw eggs on my face, while Tyler drove the orange Ranger van with music playing on the speaker.  All three laughed as their perfect morning teaser worked out well in their favour. I was filled with so  much shame.

I searched for a napkin to wipe my face with but remembered that I had forgotten it inside the laundry basket. I then pulled out my jersey and began to wipe away the filth from my face.I decided to continue my journey to school but the smell of the raw eggs was enough to make me want to puke. I ran to the nearest public toilet and began to wash my delicate face.

And just when  I  was about to leave, I heard a car beeping. I turned slightly and realized that it was Jake. I continued walking. With no interest whatsoever to speak to anyone, especially him.

"Hey, wait. Sandra please wait for me." Jake shouted.

I stopped then turned around to look at the annoying snob.

"Why, so that you can laugh at me?" I asked.

"Why would I laugh at you?"

"Because I smell like raw eggs."

Jake leaned in on me and sniffed.

"You don't smell bad. I always carry around my body spray, you can use it. I won't mind." The snob offered.

I rolled my eyes.

"I don't want to smell like you.. I just want to smell clean."

"We can get a body spray at a local store but I don't think we'll make it in time for class."

I felt so emotional.

"The Finley twins always have it in for me. Today they threw eggs on me and now I'll smell like this the whole day!" I shouted angrily.

Jake was silent for a while.

"I'm sorry that happened to you. Can I help you get revenge?" He asked

"What?"

"Can I help you get your vengeance?"

Sandra chuckled.

"How?"

"We could do anything you want us to do."

I couldn't believe what Jake was telling me. His offer was tempting but how could I trust him?

"Well. I'm getting late for school. The list of things I want to do those three is endless and long."

"How about we discuss that list over lunch, maybe after school." Jake suggested.

Was this guy asking me on a date? Which means Peter could be right.  He could be having a total crush on me. But I don't love him.

"Why, what's the catch?" I inquired.

"No catch."

Yeah right, I'm only going to this because I want to see those Finley twins destroyed. Jake has plenty of connections. He could help me out.

"Well okay. How will we meet then I don't have you on.."

Jake gave Sandra his contact card.

"That's how you'll reach me." He said, boldly.

"But you do know that I don't like you."

"Well I don't like you too."

I had a laugh, the kind I hadn't had since morning.

Sandra put the card inside her backpack.

"Ah. Its 7:45, if you walk to school you'll be 20 minutes late for your science class. Can I take you there?" Jake offered.

I felt a mixture of emotions. Everyone in school will now be a hater if they see me in his car. I have enough hater's as it is, but who cares.

"Argh fine. Let's go then." I said boldly.

Jake's face brightened. He opened the car door for me and I hopped in.

Lunch break hour arrived. Peter and I were on our way to the cafeteria, when suddenly we heard loud scream. We rushed there and saw the Finley sisters both covered in raw eggs with a red colour on their faces. They both closed their lockers angrily.

"Who did this?" Anne Finley asked the pupils laughing.. no one answered.

Alice Finley the other twin noticed me.

"We have to get out of here." I said

Peter was hesitant that he even stayed there laughing.

Anne whispered to her sister. I think she was probably telling her I was responsible for the trap of which I was, indirectly. Anne wiped her hands onto her sister's T-shirt. She walked towards my direction. The pupils became worried. Peter stood in front of me..

"Touch her and you'll have trouble with me!" A voice said suddenly.. It was Jake."If you want someone to blame, take me. I did it " He added.

Anne eyed Jake. I could tell from her expression, she didn't believe him.

"You are lying"

"Vengeance tastes sweet doesn't it." Said Peter.

He cleared a way for me. Alice was grinding her teeth when she saw me.

"Are you siding with her?" Anne asked.

"Yes I am. I've watched you push her around and that is going to stop from now on.". Jake said.

Tyler ran towards the Finley sisters. He asked in a low voice what was wrong but because he was a coward. He did not even cause a  fight. He took the two girl's away from the crowd.

"You better run." I finally spoke in a low voice.

"Can I get that lunch with you tomorrow after school?" Jake asked.

I simply nodded.

Peter and Jake shaked hands in a super cool way again, before departing separate ways.

Jake

It had been weeks since I've spent a decent time with my father. He was always so busy with his many businesses not forgetting his alpha position which required him to travel still. In two weeks he was in Dublin, visiting another pack sort out a matter concerning an enemy threatening to take their territory from them. Seeing him sitting there on the dinner table with a smile on his face meant good news. He wasn't the type to smile, unless he had killed someone.

Gushing the blood out of someone's body, thrilled him.

I put on my formal clothes just to have dinner with him. He preferred it so.

I grabbed a chair and sat there.

"Looking great as always son."

"A compliment? This must be good news."

Daniel chuckled.

"Let's just say my Dublin friends get to keep their home."

"Wonderful.."

I lifted a piece of meat from my plate ate it raw as it was.

My father chuckled.

"You need to eat more. You'll one day have to lead the pack. How will you do it without the proper nutrition, Do you even eat when I'm away?"

I felt a slight offend"

"I do eat."

Daniel eyed me. As if in disbelief..

"I know I just arrived but there's a project that needs my attention."

I placed the fork on the table. My appetite disappeared that very moment.

"Where are you going?"

"A business conference. I'll return in a few days."

A name came in mind. It was Sandra. I could use this opportunity to show her around the place, maybe she'll realise that I'll be able to take care of her needs.

"Its alright. Do what you have to." I said.

My father's face brightened. He looks so relieved.

Since I won't be here for some time. Will you be able to take care of the house alone or should I ask Paul to watch over you "

"Come one dad. How can you even ask me that. I am no longer a pup. I can look after myself." I pressed.

"I knew you'd say that. But again remember that you are not just any werewolf teen. You are my son. I have many enemies. They would do anything to get to me. And what a better way to do it than through my own offspring."

"Dad, I am not scared. I can look after myself, I said."

"Then I will leave the house to your care then, but no parties and some stupid friends over. I don't want any human here."

"Dad, I am not a kid."

"But you are popular in your school and I know how much those humans will be eager in coming here. Don't bring them here, if you care about their lives I won't have mercy."

"Yes I know you're a cold blooded werewolf who would go to the ends of killing harmless teenager's."

"Not just any teenagers, human beings specifically."

"I won't bring any humans here."

We finished off their meal with a glass of Cabernet franc.

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 26

Sandra The night had been beautiful and full of surprises. I hadn't expected Jake to do all that he did but I had known for a while that he liked me. Infact the only reason I knew was because of Peter. If only he were here. We would laugh out loud about this very night. My heart was filled with joy as soon as I had finished taking a night shower. I put on my gown and rushed to my room. But the door was not closed anymore, it was slightly opened. I saw my mother sitting there on my bed. Her eyes gazing on the family photo album. She wiped her eyes from the tears that ran down her cheeks. "Mom, why are you crying?" Was the first question that popped into my head at the time. She looked at me and a smile covered her face. "You're so grown up. I can't believe I really did it." She said. Trying to hold back the tears. I felt slightly awkward. And clueless as to how to respond. "Yeah I'm grown, is that a reason to cry or did something bad happen at the hospital?" I pondered ab

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 25

Peter Free at last, I ran on the gravel road behind large tall trees. Away from the road. Since it was no longer safe. I could hear the sound of my breath coming out. There were no cars passing by, it was just dark and silent. For the first time in a long time, I feared the dark. I refused to look behind me. All I could think about was making it to my house and seeing my parents again. I ran continuously refusing to stop. Until suddenly, I heard a car come behind me. I was certain it was Jess and so I tried to increase my pace but fall to the ground instead. I heard the car park behind me still. The lights flashed my way. "Hey, wait. You don't have to be scared. I can drive you to your destination. It's dangerous out here." Said a voice. And it didn't sound anything like that of Jess. I got up from the ground and turned to look and saw a male shadow standing there. I couldn't see who it was since the lights were bright and in my eyes. "Their following me. Please get me out of here

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 24

Peter Night's had passed since I had last seen anything in the mirror. I was still alive. My mouth covered in blood, I had begun to feed on rats to get the protein I really needed. The room was already stinking, no human could be able to survive such a smell but I was able to since I had gotten used to it. I had even begun to make a large scratch on the wooden floor using the zip from my now torn trouser. As a I was scrapping down on the filthy floor, I noticed a light from the corner of my left eye. I looked up and saw light coming through the mirror, I threw everything to the ground then ran towards the mirror to see what was happening. I was shocked when I saw a human hand passing in front of the glass. It looked like that of.. a face appeared finally. It was Jess. "Hello baby! I see you're still alive. " She said. I thought I was probably hallucinating, but no it seemed to real to be an image. It was her. "Are you the one that locked me in here?" I asked. Jess nodded slowly.

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 23

Sandra I had spent the entire day looking for the perfect outfit to wear on my date with Jake.. actually i wouldn't consider it as a date per day. Just a simple nighout with a friend. Well that's how I saw Jake. I had finally considered him as just a friend even though I didn't like him that much before. I could have ignored him but because of Peter, we became friends. Again, there was a sort of kindness about him. A side that I had found to be likeable... Firstly he was friendly with all the cooking and cleaning staff that worked at the school. Secondly, he ate food that was offered at school even though he could afford to buy a meal at a restaurant. Thirdly, my mom liked him and he was respectful. I put on my new outfit. A black hem tshirt with lace details on the sleeves with a black jeans. My mom helped braid my hair on the side then curled the rest of it. I felt alive. As I was finishing off my makeup, I heard a car park outside the house. I knew by then that Jake had arrived

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 22

Sandra The morning was silent. Peace covered the streets of Lakewood .I wanted badly to skip achool for at least five days. I knew that the Finley sister's would be waiting for me at school. Waiting eagerly for my blood. My heart throbbed with each movement. I had left the house earlier than usual, unwilling to go with Jake. I didn't want him to protect me or fight my battle. I was ready to face my fears even if it meant I had to defend myself again. But what triggered that was the unfair treatment I had received from the principal. I wanted justice. I wanted to fight. Scared as I was. All the learner's students gathered to near the assembly hall for the day's announcements. Mr Burgess pulled out a key from his pocket but was surprised to see that the door was actually not locked as he thought it was. He opened it wide for the learners to enter. Those that were at the front, standing next to the principal began to scream. "What's the meaning of this?" Mr Burgess asked. He seemed s

  • Loving The Alpha   Chapter 21

Sandra When my class for the day had ended, I walked past the principals office to place my books in the locker. However I was surprised to notice that his office was empty. There was no hint at all of the Finley sister's and their looser boyfriend Tyler. As I reached for the locker I heard someone clearing his voice, I turned to look and saw the principal, tall as he was staring right at me. His eyes slightly hazed inside his spectacles. "Mr Burgess. You scared me." I said. The principal did not seem to hear me. "You are late for detention. Follow me to my office!" He shouted. I was surprised. "No sir. I think you are mistaken. I did nothing wrong. The Finley sister's are the ones who deserve to be punished. Not me!" I cried out. "You are late for detention. Follow me to my office!" The principal repeated as if a recorded tape, continuously repeating the same message. I continued to defend my innocence but the principal did not listen to me nor did he try to reason. H
