On Fridays, classes ended early and sometimes pupils just sign the register and sit there doing nothing. I didn't see a point of going to school on that specific day. And so I would study in therary with a tutor helping me with my lesson's.
When I was done studying I called Paul to come and train me. He did come and did not ask any questions since he knew that I was free on Mondays. A timetable set by me. "Your aims are not as hard today like every other day." Said Paul. I felt worried. "I must have not eaten anything. My limbs do feel strange." Paul analysed me. "Its called having a love interest on someone. Is this about that Sandra girl again?" I was caught. He knew me well. "I can't stop thinking about her." "Are you seeing her?" "Of course not. But I will very soon." I boldly stated as if knowing the future. Paul shook his head slightly. He sighed. "If I were you, I'd forget about her. You're a werewolf and she is human." I laughed hilariously. "I've dated many humans before." Paul eyed me. "But this one is different. You love her. And you know what happens when a werewolf loves a human. They become too protective. And even kill ruthlessly." "I won't do those things to her. I love her. Owning her is something else." "Owning something is a part of our instincts. It cannot be escaped it is who we are!" Paul pressed in a sharp tone. "Your father won't choose her, you know that he won't." He added "My father doesn't like anything I do. He wants me to be his younger version." Paul rolled his eyes. "You know that's not exactly true. Your father wants you to be better than him. He wants a better life for you." "You can say whatever you like. I know what I know." "Well can I at least meet this girl that drives you crazy." I was surprised. Was he even serious."Really, what's the catch?" I asked, with great curiosity. "No catch. I just want to protect you both from being caught." "You would protect a human? That's new." Paul rolled his eyes in annoyance. "She is not just any human being now, is she?" I breathed out freely. I felt like someone finally understood me."She's my...well not yet my girlfriend. But she will be soon." "Maybe you need to take it down a notch. Did you ask her how she feels about you?" "Not yet. But I will." Paul laughed. I guess he saw me as a loser. With Sandra I felt more than a loser, I was afraid of her. Something I don't usually feel when around pretty girls. "Every girl in school melts when I pass by. I can hear their hearts beating really fast. I can hear their thought's. I know.." "Its a good trait, you know. Confidence. But don't over do it." I felt slightly offended by Paul's sarcastic comment. How could I not be confident. I was handsome. And I smelled good all the time, despite the fact that I was s werewolf. Sandra It was 2:45 pm, when Jake arrived at my house. I could hear a car park on the sideway. I peeked through the window and saw Jake coming out of his red convertible. I quickly put on my red polka dot dress then ran down the stairs. The doorbell rang. My mother, Estelle opened the door. "Oh, you must be my daughter's boyfriend." I could hear an annoyed tone in my mother's words and do I walked towards the door.. "Correction, he's name is Jake, the boy I go to school with and my hero. He saved me from the Finley sisters."Estelle raised an eyebrow. "Well where are you two going?" "We have an assignment that we have to complete." I cried out. My mother's expression eased down. Rudolph came running towards Jake, he knelt down in front of him. As if it was subject to Jake. My mother and I we're surprised as well as amused. "If our dog likes you at first glance, then it means you can be trusted. Bring my daughter home safely. And don't force her into anything bad because I'll come after you and kill you myself. Capish!" Jake smiled. "I am honoured to have met you. I will definitely protect your daughter." He said, boldly. I felt awkward in that moment but did not want to make any unnecessary arguments with her."We will be alright mam. I promise." Said Jake, trying his best to rid of the awkward air in the room. I did not even wave my mother goodbye, she was keen on leaving the house before I could get disturbed with millions of questions. My mother was too protective about her family. But could not be completely protective when it came to losing my father. Sigh. That's a story for another time. Jake and I finally arrived at the Winslow's meat and grill. A local restaurant, which was also known for serving the most tastiest meaty cuts. It was also owned by Jessica's parent's. As in Jessica, Peter's crush. "Welcome to the Winslow diner, i will be taking your order today." Said one of the waiters. I hadn't seen Jessica for days, even though she wasn't my friend, she was my friend's crush.."I want Jess to serve us, where is she?" "Miss Winslow unfortunately is not going to be here for some time." "Why?" A tall shadow came over our table."She's in the hospital." Jessica's mother, interrupted. She wore her yellow floral dress and put on a grey apron all around her waist. Her face was perfectly fine looking with no flaw. Her body, fully figured and her eyes forever green. You'd swear she was a fashion model. She never liked wearing uniform like the rest of the workers. "What happened?" I inquired. Mrs Winslow stared at Jake for a while, uncomfortably. Their eyes met with a sense of dislike. I was confused."Whats wrong?" I whispered to Jake. He didn't look in any other direction but to Mrs Winslow, as if waiting for something to happen. "My daughter will be fine, hun. Enjoy your food." Said, Mrs Winslow walking away. Jake returned his gaze to me, then smiled. "I think I would like a fillet steak with fried potatoes." He said "And I would love the usual."The waiter noted down on his small book. "Do you know Jessica's mom?" I inquired. Jake looked perplexed. "No. I don't. But her face looks familiar. Must be why I couldn't stop staring at her." He said. I laughed. "Oh okay. Cool. You scared me there for a minute "I entered the house to find it empty. I noticed a note pasted on the refrigerator from my mother, that she had to leave for work and would return again tomorrow. Being a nurse, meant working long hours, sometimes with extra shifts. I felt slightly bored and regretted arriving at home early. I could have stayed out a bit longer. I thought to myself. Sigh. I began to undress till I was only left with only my purple under garment. I threw my body on the bed and laid there for a while. A smile covered my face. I felt happy. As if I needed to go out. I could only see Jake's face whenever I shut my eyes tight. And imagined myself kissing him. Suddenly there was a loud ringing on my cellphone. It was Peter. "Hey! Where are you? I passed by your house. Your mom said you were with Jake." He said. I giggled. "Yes. I was with him" "Did he finally confess his feelings, is that why you're giggling?" I quickly grabbed a mirror and realised I looked like a hypocrite. Was I lying to myself whe
"Who might that be?" I wondered. My father left the room quickly. I could hear him talking with someone. It sounded like Peter. "Its my friend from school. Let him in!" I shouted My mother looked at me a stern cold face. She disliked visitor's. "We will have this conversation after your friend has left. Those dogs can't get away with hurting my daughter! I won't let them." Mavis pressed. I heard footsteps approaching. The door opened wide. I smiled as I saw Peter standing there. But what I could understand was why he brought a mouse with him. I never liked Sandra. She was always so picky and acting clean and innocent. She represented everything I hated. She was too good. Nothing like Peter. "Oh look darling, your friends from school have come to see you." George said with a wide pretense smile on his face. "Come closer." I said. I could see the eagerness in Peter's eyes, he feared me and that turned me on. "Don't be afraid, go to her. She's doing much better now." Said Georg
SandraCornerstone high school was overcrowded with many pupils. News travelled fast that Jake and I were a couple even as we were not. I felt offended. I mean what was there to like about the guy? He was a snob and he wasn't that hot as some of the girls said. It was embarrassing how they would drool over him... I didn't understand what they saw there. I admit, Jake and I had made it a habit to walk at the school premises together. We ate together during lunch and even went to the school library together. Perhaps that's why people considered us a couple. Well I was uncomfortable with that, neither was Peter..I think. He was growing distant from us. And that was worrying me"I managed to get three tickets to see the famous Hayden that you've been telling me about." Said Jake, placing the tickets on the table. I was filled with so much excitement that I screamed out loud without intending to do so. I had such a big crush on Hayden. My favourite musician of all times. "Oh my God.
Sandra I found it hard to sleep without at least resolving things with Peter. We have always been close friends. I wondered what was happening to us. I didn't like how bad things were becoming. Our friendship was on rocky ice. It was unstable. I wondered if Jake was the culprit. But then again, how could he? He had been so kind to the both us. That he would even suggest that the three of us go and watch Hayden together. It just didnt make any sense. So if Jake wasn't the problem then who was? I wondered. Suddenly, I received a call. The number was blank. Out if curiousity. I decided to answer it. "Jake is not a good boy, he's an animal. He can be slaughtered easily, but we live forever." Said a voice, it sounded machine operated. I was shocked. I felt the need to contact the snob, can you imagine? I was surprised because he actually answered."Sandra, is that you?".I felt slightly irritable "Its a ghost from another planet." I teased.. Jake did not laugh but was silent. I cou
Peter I had been moody for some time. I didn't understand what was happening to me. Ever since Jess was in an accident, I had been stressed for her. I had always had a crush on her. She had that fire in her. The kind of strength that attracted me. She was of course attractive as well. I loved her brown eyes and her rustic her and that Rock and roll look she would put on. It suited her and that personality she had. But most of all I loved the fact that she was kind to others. When I found out that she was involved in helping at an old age home I was smitten. I knew that she was the one for me. A selfless beauty queen. I knew I had to make her mine. I didn't even have to confess my feelings for her. I just did good things for her.. then one day, she just kissed me and gave me a gift. A ring. She probably wanted me to think of it as a promise ring. I kept her word and kept it a secret from everyone to respect her wishes. Instead of putting it on my finger, I placed it around my neck for
SandraMy body was feeling strained because of all my long continuous thinking. I just couldn't stop worrying about Peter. He had been acting strange for weeks, withdrawing from our usual activities and spending more and more time with Jessica. Hold on! Ever since those two have started dating, Peter had been acting strange. I mean, I'm happy that they are a couple now, even as I've never seen them walk together in public. But it's unfair how the only friend I've ever known is treating me now. I don't know what could be the reason for his hatred towards me. You'd swear I did something. Or does he think I despise his girlfriend? Peter and I had always been very close. I could feel the tears in my eyes just thinking about what he and i used to do together. When i was 8 years old, my frog Alfie was murdered by one of the Finley sisters, Alice . She had made it seem like a mere accident but Peter had seen everything. Everyone was afraid of reporting Alice to the principal because she ha
Jess What had just happened? was the question running in my mind. I had done all according to how the ritual is said to be done. Peter was supposed to be obedient. My mother suddenly entered the living room. She was in awe, like me. "What was Peter doing here?" She asked. I could feel my body heating up. "He knows what I am!" I shouted. "What! How could he have known?" My mother shouted, angrily. "He caught me when I was trying to enchant him with a spell." I could see the disappointment in my mother's eyes "I can't believe this. Now I have to clean up for your mess, again!" She said. "You want to kill him?" I asked, worried. "Yes. If I don't. Everyone in this community will come for us and we will all be dead." Just then, George burst into the room, his face pale and his eyes wide with fear. "I just saw Peter driving away angrily. Are you having problems with him?" My father asked. "What did he say to you?" I asked, my heart racing."He said nothing. He looked at me
Sandra What is going on here? My heart wondered. I hadn't expected to see Jake until Monday. Moreover, seeing him with my mother was bizarre. Knowing her, she probably wanted to know more about Jake's background. Her smile made me even more uncomfortable. I wondered what kind of interrogation was taking place before I even stepped into the room. Alas, will her detective waging curiousity ever end? "Jake?" I exclaimed. The snob stared at me with a smile. He seemed uneasy, his right forefinger kept tapping. My mother however seemed calm and very proud. She was seated uprightly. "How come you never told me about how interesting your friend is. He's a really good role model for your peers." Said Estelle. I became even more worried. "Mom I hope you'll find everything you need in there. Jake let's go outside." I said, leaving the grocery bags on the table. My mother motioned that she was keeping her eye on me. I felt irritated by the notion. I led the snob away from the house as I c
