Nico’s POV

“Nico.”

I groaned as I felt my brother’s hands on my shoulders. He’s trying his best to wake me up.

“What?”

“Today is the funeral, Nico. You need to get up and get ready.”

Today is the funeral? That was fast. I was just fighting with my father in the hospital to give me ten more minutes before they take Leana away from me and today is now the funeral? This is unbelievable.

And for the first time after a while, I hated how time flies fast. Before this entire thing happened, I used to wish every single night for time to fly fast because I wanted to spend another day with Leana.

“Do I have to go?”

I opened my eyes and shoved him away from me. I sat and my back felt like it was going to break anytime soon.

“Of course, you have to go. Don’t you want to say goodbye?”

“It’s not like she’s going to hear me.”

“Nico, please. You haven’t gone at the wake for once. You’re her best friend. You should be there.”

I hated that my breathing started to get heavy again.
