Ember’s POV

“I make this vow for you, slave….” Camila tilted his shoulder high, looking up at me. Her cheeks were red, the side of her lips broken. “So long as I live, I will make your life miserable. You will forever regret accepting that deal.”

I couldn't help but scoff. Was that supposed to be a threat?

“You will know your place as an omega slave, and you will never forget me,” she added and then stormed out of my room.

I stared at the door long enough and broke into laughter. Will I really regret it? Was I the one who made an advance to Vander?

Whatever! All she could do was threaten, and nothing could be done. Maybe I could indirectly bring it up to Vander, so that whatever happens to me in the future, he will know who is behind it.

I lay back on my bed and dozed off in just minutes.
