Chapter 171

I can feel a nudge in my mindlink and I open my mind ‘my King, we have news, there is a group at the border front saying they have come to offer assistance but they are not of our kind’ ‘I am on my way’ I leave the safe zone and shift, taking off through the fighting and head to the front border at the main gates.

I shift back to my human form when I get there and the guard hands me a robe “I am the King, Tyler Moon, state your business” I say from the main gates as I look out to the Twelve “we mean no harm your majesty, we have come to offer our help” “and who are you?” “my name is Tabitha and these are my followers, my friends we are all White Witches”

Tabitha, she’s the one we’ve been looking for “Tabitha the White Witch, you are the one the Elemental Empress seeks, I assure you no harm will come to you and your followers from me or anyone in my company, you have my permission to enter the pack land” “thank you” they cautiously move closer to us and bow “I am sorry I am not able to offer you a warm welcome at this time, the entire city is in chaos”

“That is quite fine your majesty because had the world not been in turmoil, you would never have met me, may I ask why the Elemental Empress seeks me out?” I turn to walk back and they follow me “she was told that you would be needed in order to remove the darkness from the world and has been seeking you ever since”

“I see, well then I suppose you can send word to her that which was lost has now been found, although it would need one more key to save us all but I have not been able to find her, my Sala, she is the key”

Sala? No idea what that is and I can’t be worried about that right now, we make our way back to the castle and I usher them in, they all walked though the protective border without a hitch so I know they are what they say they are, beings of light.

I fish my phone from my pocket and send a message to Dawson, so he could let the Empress know that the Witch had indeed come to our rescue, in a few minutes a portal opens and she comes through with Dawson and the Wards “which of you is Tabitha?” Tabitha has been staring at her from the moment she walked out of the portal.

“I am Tabitha” she moves closer still staring at the Empress “why do you stare like that?” “because you look just like her, like my Sala she’s my baby girl” “your Sala? Have you lost a daughter?” she looks away but changes the topic “why did you seek me?” “we need your help as you can see, this hells fire needs to be extinguished so we can crush the enemy”

“Winter Wards, have you not captured Reina?”

“No, we almost did the first day we came but she managed to slip away and has been eluding us ever since, we can not track her”

“What form has she taken?”

“She has taken the body of a creature, a female with one hoof and one leg”

“A Jablesse? I have not heard of those land sirens in decades”

“Land sirens are they?”

“Indeed they are, capable of leading men to their doom”

“Zilva and Zenna, you two work on tracing her essence, take some of the fire and grind the ash to gather it” the twins do as told and leave the safe zone and catch some of the fire in a bottle “how can you do that without being burned”

“Now that is our secret” the two get to work while the others begin making markings all around the hellfire “I need to remain hidden for as long as possible, once she catches the essence of the other Witches she will come to try and eliminate them but if she smells me, she would not as she knows what it would mean for her and the rest of her followers”

“But you walked all the way here out in the open”

“My cloak has magic to keep me hidden, she would not know that it is I”

“We have done it Tabitha”

“Bring it here” the two ladies bring the essence to her and she pours it over into a bottle of liquid, the liquid turn a light grey colour as she shakes it “well isn’t this interesting” the Wards move closer “what we are up against is merely a small fragment of Reina, she attached herself to the soul of the body she hides within, I would advice you Wards to secure the rest of her core wherever you’ve hidden it because it is only a matter of time before she goes to try and retrieve it, so we must capture her and separate her from the Jablesse before she has the chance to make herself whole and regenerate”
