Chapter 178

I sashay to the bathroom to relieve myself before taking a shower, once I’ve showered, I wrap myself in a towel and go brush my teeth “what the hell?!” I look at my reflection in the mirror, I look like I have that human virus, what’s it called uhm pox I think “what the heck is wrong with Tyler?!” I brush my teeth and look for something to wear.

I opt for a turtle neck top with high waist jeans and boots, I will get him back for this ‘you weren’t complaining last night when he was giving them to you’ I blush ‘can it Piper’ I go to the kitchen because I am simply famished, there is a lot of movement around but all eyes turn to me as I descend the stairs, everyone present bows and I stop, talk about awkward.

I rub the back of my neck “uhm, no need to be so formal everyone, don’t mind me and carry on”  they follow orders and carry on with their chores, some still greeting me as I pass by and naturally I say good morning to them. I head to the kitchen looking around for my mate to no avail, I get to the kitchen where the ladies are busy prepping “good morning all” they all stop and look at me like I’m crazy or something.

They all bow to me “oh please don’t be weird with me, you don’t need to bow” “you are our Luna Queen, who fought with our King for us so we naturally must pay our respect to our Queen, even those in the bunkers felt and heard your call” I look away because to hear her say that and see the genuine respect on their faces is so overwhelming.

“Thank you, you may rise” “also it is now dusk my Queen not dawn” I blinked hard “I’m sorry, what? Are you telling me I’m currently looking at the sun set and not sun rise?” “that is correct” that fker! He left me to sleep all day! “no wonder I’m starving, I’ll murder that man” I mumble to myself which makes them giggle.

“Sit down, we’d feed you so you’d have more energy for the latter” I laugh “you’re quite encouraging aren’t you” she laughs again and places a plate in front of me and I practically inhale it “that was so good, thank you, now can you tell me what I missed today? Just a run down briefly”

“Well I have come to understand that you are the daughter of an Empress, she was here along with your father and others, they helped us clean the city and began rebuilding, everyone has come back out of the bunkers, right now the King is with the guards doing a head count, he is trying to surmise how many we lost and who we lost so we can mourn them and console the families” oh my, I slide off the stool “thank you, I’ll go find him and see if I could be of any help to them”, once I get outdoors I inhale the air, you can still smell a bit of the fire in the air but the surroundings are much cleaner than it was when I went to bed yesterday.

 Two strong hands snake around my waist and he kisses my neck, I close my eyes relishing in his scent and his warm embrace as a content sound rumbles from his chest “I am mad at you” his kisses cease before he chuckles “you worked so hard last night, I couldn’t find it in me wake you” “ahh so you even know what you did wrong then hmm” “my mom was always grumpy when she was woken up prematurely so I figured you would be the same, no?” “yes, but still! To let me sleep until almost night time and to make it worse I went around the castle telling everyone good morning”

My confession makes him laugh out loud which causes others to cast a curious glance at us, I nudge him “stop laughing at me” “I-I’m sorry but that is hilarious!” he laughs some more, I roll my eyes and walk from him when I spot Tabitha in the distance.

“Tabby!” I call out, she turns to me with a smile then bows “your majesty”

“Oh not you too!”

“It is a fact, Azealia, I am so happy you got your true name Sala, I almost thought I lost you when I couldn’t find you with my crystals but I have heard what happened and thankfully all is well with you, your mother was kind enough to offer us sanctuary in the Elemental Kingdom  and we have all accepted, so once we’ve made certain all is well here we will move there with her together, she has taken my beloved, the Wards will try to break the spell cast on him, they searched him and decided to give him a chance, even though he did what he did, it was not of his own free will so they took that into account and his heart is also untainted, well I suppose staying there could also serve as a way to keep an eye on him”

I hug her “I’m just glad this whole thing is over and you found him after all these years Tabby” “thank you my sweet pumpkin seed”
