Chapter 179

Speaking of Elemental Kingdom, I need to go and check on my little one, Tyler who has been standing behind the entire time takes my hand “let’s go check on our little one” I open a portal and we head through, right into the room where I left her sleeping, I had to place her back at the Fire Fuit Tree, to keep her warm and safe in my absence.

Tyler walks over to the spot of grass next to where she lays sleeping swaddled and sits by her  “she’s gotten so big” he picks her up and cradles her “how can she look so much like us and not be our pup?” I’m confused “what do you mean Tyler of course she’s our pup” he looks up at me confused “but, your Mom said she’s a Fire Sprite from the tree” I sit by him and touch her face.

“I suppose I understand her confusion but she is our pup, the Tree Spirit told me that I was with pup and she brought the pup out because of what was to come and our pup would have been in danger during the fight, the reason I slept so long was because she needed time to grow and bond with me, she will grow normally from now”

“She’s ours? Truly?” he leans in and inhales her scent then looks back up at me with a goofy grin “she smells like us” “silly, of course she does, she our little one, our princess” “did you know you were pregnant?” “no, I had no idea, she’s lucky too because the mimic damaged her sack when it stabbed me, but she held on, she’s a fighter”

He looks across at me “like her Mom” he pulls me into a soft kiss “she’s perfect” “of course she’s perfect, she came from me!” “conceited much!” “duh, I am a Queen after all” “that you are, my love, that you are” “what name do think we should call her?” he looks down at the sleeping pup in his arms.

“Pheonix, her name will be Pheonix Moon” Pheonix Moon, well it certainly has a ring to it and I can it has meaning as well, as we all know Pheonix are fire birds that live forever “it’s perfect” a slight breeze passes and a Fire Flower floats down from the tree and lands on her forehead and slowly it’s absorbed into her skin leaving only the image of the flower on her forehead.

“What just happened?” “I think the tree has given our pup, it’s blessing” he kisses her and she smiles in her sleep which makes us both gush and laugh “let’s let her sleep some more, once we’ve gotten things back under control at the castle we will come back for her” “you mean, you want us to leave her here alone and unprotected?”

“She’s been here alone and unprotected as you say all this time has she not? She will be fine, the tree would not let any harm come to our Princess” he looks up at the tree then back at me, I smile reassuringly at him and he reluctantly places her down where he originally picked her up from “are you sure she’d be alright?” “yes Tyler, she is in the safest place in the world right now” “okay” he takes my hand as I open another portal and walks through with me after another glance back at our little one.

“Ah your majesties there you are! We were looking everywhere for you!” “what’s wrong?” “we have the names of our comrades who were lost in battle, so we just wanted to know what the next steps are”

“How many are there?” “a total of Nineteen sire” “Nineteen....” I pat him on the shoulder “how about I take charge of this one hmm?” he looks at me gratefully “thank you” he says softly. I can only imagine their pain at feeling their family member connection being cut off from them, knowing that they have died without having being told would make it even more heartbreaking.

I take the list and ask the guard to follow me, we go to the planning room and I decide on doing a mass memorial for the fallen, we would also need to reach out to the other packs because some of the fallen were trainees from other packs, I suppose this is why it affects Tyler so much because they came here to train and he’s not able to even send back their bodies for burial.

“The King would have to assist us in getting the numbers for the packs so we can start reaching out to the packs the outside warriors are from to notify them of the memorial service.”

“Yes my Queen” he scribbles it down.

“Also we need to have memorial tablets made, Two sets, One to be kept here and the other to give to the families of the fallen, I also think we should give them some monetary compensation, even though it can not bring the dead back it would certainly help the families in some way or the other, but run that by the King first and we will go from there based on what he says.”
