She argued that the situation is not the same, which I do understand but still I want them to be okay with each other, those years estranged even though living together the same roof, is something I simply can’t understand although I do blame him for doing things the way he did and causing this whole mess, sigh.

I kiss him on the forehead and quietly leave the room taking my time making my way down the corridor to my study room, I feel the chill in the room as soon as I open the door, their entire beings carry cold air.

“Well Your Majesty, there is no easy way to say this or no means to soften the blow so I’ll just say it, Mali has escaped and Harrow is not here because she damaged him in order to escape as well as one of our Wisps”

I stare at them at a loss for words, I open my mouth and closed it, tap my fingers together, they take steps back shielding their faces “Your Majesty please calm yourself! We are not able to withstand your heat and flames!”

Ahh I was not even aware my power had seeped out, I stepped back and turned away from there and take a few deep and calming breaths “Fire Flies, sunset, Fire Flies, sunset and we are calm” I spin back to them “WHAT THE HECK DO YOU MEAN SHE ESCAPED! “She used the back door in the lower level of the castle”

“But don’t you keep that door sealed? And how did she know where it is, you know what tell me from the beginning” I sit back and look at them expectantly.

“Well first of all, we allowed her mate to be with her and our nursing Wisp Sereya during her birth and once it was finished she was allowed to hold the pup briefly before Adriel asked to be sent back but we first went to test the pup to ensure it was not tainted and left her with Sereya still tied to the bed”

“Once we confirmed the pup was untainted Zeenon and myself brought Adriel and the pup back and sent Harrow back to keep an eye on her until we returned, by the time we got back to her delivery room, she and Sereya were gone and Harrow was following Sereyas trail, which led us to the door”

“It would seem Sereya purposefully led her there knowing she would not be able to open the door, however the miscalculation was us opening the door to check as Sereyas trail vanished at the door and that’s when she ambushed from above”
