‘Oh not this mate nonsense again’ ‘how is it nonsense? We are meant to find our mates, our other half and mate and mark with them, have pups!’ ‘ pups?! To ruin my figure?’ ‘ it’s only for a short time madam vain, you will snap right back, our bodies are designed that way, Goddess help me’ ‘I guess she’d have to help me too because I truly do not get you Car, we would be Queens! Have all of weredom at our feet! No one will be above us!’ ‘except for the King you mean’ ‘oh pish posh! You know what I mean’

Carmen sighs and I feel her crawl to the back of my mind and tune me out. Her constant nagging for this mate is really overbearing, I have come to terms with the fact that I do not have a mate out there, much like Tyler, but if the day ever comes that I do meet my mate, will I have the heart to reject him, that I do not know.

Knock knock knock

“Come in” “good morning Ms. Astrid, Mr. Noah has asked that you join him for breakfast today and to get ready to head out for some shopping”

“ I’ll be right there”

I slide out of bed and grab some clothes, get dressed then brush my teeth , do my make up and head down to breakfast, he’s seated at the kitchen island with perfect posture waiting for me “good morning Noah” “morning princess” princess I do fancy that nickname, “please join me” I sit across from him and the maids serve our breakfast, we eat silently with only the light sound of our cutlery.

Once done, he thanks the maids and chef for breakfast and leads me to his private elevator, once the door closes he pulls me into his arms and buries his nose in my neck to inhale before nipping me lightly, I squeal which makes him chuckle then stand up straight “where would you like to go shopping first?” I tilt my head thinking unable to pick a store, “how about we go to the mall and just walk through the stores?” he simply nods “I’ve got about Two hours to spare then I’m to be back at the office for a full day okay?” “ okay ”

We walk from store to store buying whatever it is I desire and I do pick a few things I like for him as well, I know it won't mean as much being bought from his own money but it's the thought that counts right?

" How about we grab something light to eat before you head to the office? " " sure " we walk to the food court and order some food, we find a quiet spot and eat our meal, it feels odd sitting here and I can most certainly feel the stares of others from us, especially from females, this place is mixed with humans and wolves but obviously the humans don't know about us and we endeavour to keep it that way though of course there are the few exceptions where one of our kind ends up mated to a human, for those that accept them, it's only natural they would have to be told about what they signed up for when they accept us into their lives.

It's kind of tricky when it comes to human mates because they don't feel the mate pull or bond as strongly as we would, yes there would be an instant attraction but not to the effect as it would be for us, so patience would have to be exercised when courting them, unlike being mated to our own kind, you may end up pregnant the very day you meet your mate haha.

There has been instances when human mates are rejected, even though they would not understand or feel the kind of pain from rejection that we would but it has been done by wolves who felt like a human mate is beneath them, I know the God and Goddess would never do something like that to me considering my position in life, someone like me mated to a human!

There was a time when I considered it because I have been to so many places in the were kingdom, so many parties and balls and never so much as caught a whiff of my mate let alone meet them, and it certainly can't be that I Astrid am mateless, that is absolutely farfetched so the conclusion, he has to human.

I don't travel too much in human areas, though the area that I'm in right now has a mx of wolves, human, vampires and even witches, all supernatural’s stick to their own circles because cross breeding would be an abomination and quite frankly we just can't stand each other but these grounds are neutral grounds so we can't harm each other here, just stay out of each others way, naturally each of us thinks our own species is most superior to the others but we all know of all of us, nothing is more beautiful and powerful than a Lycan, which are the royals and once Tyler marks and mate with me, my wolf and I will transition into Lycan too!
