I am so damn tired, I have no idea how long I have to do this training class for but this is most certainly not it for me, hanging with a bunch of kids, sheesh but anyway it's cool to see how well Beau has adapted to our way of life and made friends here so there's that.

Alpha Teegan really seems to have it in for me, there are so many other warriors that can do the training but somehow when casting lots I always seem to get the short stick ( -_- ) Beau was the first to find his way to me through the forest on our last session, apart from him only Four others made it to me while the other Thirteen did not so those Five are in the training centre doing the drills I left them to do and the Thirteen is here with me redoing it, today is their third day if you can believe it.

This rock has seen my ass in three days more than my bed has in a week, sigh I look up when I sense a few presence close by, I guess they made it after all , third time the charm.

No, this isn't right the presence are not coming from the right direction, I turn and listen trying to pick up on precisely where I feel them when I hear someone approach me from behind " ahhh I made it! fna-mm mmmm" I cover his mouth and remove his blind fold, I put a finger on my lip so he'd know to be quiet.

He immediately became alert realizing from my mannerism that something is not right, ' go find the others quickly and tell them to be quiet, find tree tops in different areas and look out for intruders, do not engage or give their position away and signal if or when they spot them, consider this your first practical exam, go quietly ' he nods and heads back the direction he came.

I refocus and extend my hearing trying to see if I can figure out where they are or if they are friend or foe, I close my eyes and raise my nose and take a deep breath in different directions trying to catch a whiff of anything outside of the normal pack members and forest scent ' Red! we see them, they are Four clicks North East from where you are ' ' on my way '

I travel at top speed, running quickly and quietly and I only slow down when I know I'm almost to where my trainees would be hidden, I stop behind a tree and scent them out and follow their scents, they are perched up on one of our hidden treehouse look out bases.

None of us says anything but the signal me with their heads in the direction the intruders are located, I slowly walk to the edge of the look out and peer over, there are Six persons moving through the trees coming closer to where we are, I watch them and access them as I do ' what do we do Red? ' ' just observe for the time being until we can figure out how they managed to get so far into the pack without detection and what are they doing here. '

" Roger that ' ' keep your eyes peeled just in case there are more that we haven't seen as yet ' I look back at them and they're almost to the tree we're under and I make note of them moving and seemingly avoiding coming from the covering of the trees, are they vampires? because they certainly do not appear to be our kind.

' Okay guys we can't let them get any further in so on my count we ambush, Four of you shift and surround them and One remain in human form so we can cover each others backs ' they decide via mind link who would be the one to remain human and on my mark 3,2,1 we all spring from the look out and drop surrounding them.

They seem momentarily startled and with speed none of of estimated took off running back the way they came and we were right on their tails, we didn't even get the chance to get a good look of whiff of them, one of the guys sends a mind link to the Alpha and other warriors of what's going on and our location and soon we had more wolves join in on the chase.

' What the hell are they? ' one warrior asks ' we don't know, if we could just catch one of them that would be fantastic, so we can question ' we chase them through the forest and the always manage to stay within the covering of the trees, hidden in the shadows and with their speed we can't get a chance to see what they are.

' Oh no, we're almost at the South border, they'd get away !' I said loudly in the link, ' LIKE HELL THEY ARE! ' shouted Ivo through the link, he lunged at the one at the back and managed to catch it's left leg just as it was about to leap from our lands and out into the unclaimed territory, it screeched and fell which made the others stop and turn back to us.

But Ivo's wolf howled in pain, the blood from the leg it severed was burning away at his face, fk! " we got to help him " SHIFT IVO " said the Alpha " no! let me help him first, it may damage his human side " I run to him as he wreathes in pain "it's okay, it's me, it's Red, I just want to help you okay? " I reach into my pack and grab a numbing potion and douse his snout in it and he calms down enough for me to apply elixir.

After applying, he blacked out and shifted back into his human form, it was only then we realized they had taken the opportunity to slip away with the hurt comrade, "FK" cursed Alpha Teejan.

" Even the severed fkin foot is gone! Red do you know what those damn things were? " " no Alpha I do not " he stares at me long and hard " you have Three days to go and get me an answer " I nod slowly understanding what he means, he wants me to go see Tabitha.
