Chapter 53

I was running through the warzone trying to get to where they were I feel like I need to see who that man is, it's the most important, I run up through the brushes and climb the rock to get to where they are and just as I was closing in on them, a sword, a long Golden sword pierces through the man, right through his heart.

With that all the creatures scream and screech as though feeling his pain, feeling him slowly die, the women who stood before him topple over and it's then I see they have one foot and one hoof, what on earth is that?

The man falls backward as the sword is pulled from his chest and his cloak is removed, his eyes are black as coal and so lifeless, he's pale and green veins cover his face down to his neck and he looks up at the sword master " I curse you and those after you Lycan King! for robbing my people of a chance to stand in the sun " he sputtered " you robbed yourself and your people the chance for yourself, had you simply chosen to exist as others do we would have let you be, but instead you cover the land in darkness and kill the innocent not even sparing the younglings, do you expect us to stand by idly whilst you carry out such cruelty?!"

" There will be another who will avenge me and there is nothing you can do to stop it " he sputtered out then chuckled before the King severed his head from his body.

As he knelt to to pick the head up I notice movement behind him, it does something and then slinks away, the King swings around probably sensing the things presence but by then it's gone. The King skates down the bank holding the creatures head and howls, it was only then I realized that Tabi and the others who were in the circle are gone, I some how end up in the woods and hear frantic foot steps approaching me, more than one.

" Why are they chasing us? " " I have no idea but we have to keep running! " " those ungrateful dogs! even after we put up our life force on the line to give them the opportunity to slay them they've now turned against us and are chasing us! we never should have helped them! " it was Tabi and her fellow witches running and judging from their conversation they are running from my kind but why would they now chase them after they've helped them, they literally are the reason why they were able to succeed in killing the leader.

I could tell from the pounding paws that they are being chased by wolves, " hurry guys, through here! " they open a secret passage and enter and hurriedly close it then run down a dark corridor and collapse trying to catch their breaths " it won't be safe for us to stay together, we must disband for all our sakes and try to lay low until this blows over "

" Where will we go Tabitha? " she gets up and walks towards a tall glass similar to the one in the room I am in and chants " come now, this gateway will take you to the edge of the Elemental Lands, they are a neutral faction and will not cause you harm, if you do not feel safe dwelling among them then stay on the outskirts or find somewhere you can make your home " Tabi runs over and grabs a few things and gives them " take these gold coins and live well, we will meet up when it is safe for us again and please be careful when using your powers, try to blend in and hide yourselves well "

" So now we must force ourselves into hiding? because of the damned Reapers Nation?! " " we know quite well that some of things we saw and weapons we encountered were the work of Dark Witches so I suppose they mistook us as those kinds too"

" You could clearly look at our aura and tell we are not Dark Witches Tabitha! that is cockamamie! " " they would not be able to see our aura Teo, now please go so I can seal the gateway " the others run through quickly and only Teo looks back at her " stay safe my Moon Beam " he then runs through and Tabi chants again to close the gateway and leans back on the wall and slides down sobbing.

" I think she's coming to, but why is she crying? "

I blink a few times and look around, Tabitha and the others are gathered around me looking at me concerned " what happened? " " you opened the book and then your eyes turned Grey, what happened? " I looked at Tabi who has not aged since the time of the war I rush forward and hug her and she pats my back " there there Sala, what's wrong? " and I whisper to her " Moon Beam, what happened to Teo? " I feel her stiffen then sob " I don't know, I never saw him again "
