I decided not to check in until this morning, all that traveling made me pretty tired or I'm feeling all my running around from Woods Pack though it was nice to unwind slightly and not worry about official duties and responsibilities.

I walk into my office after having my breakfast " oh you're finally here, you've been gone for weeks I thought I was gonna die of exhaustion! " " cut the shit Cory I was only gone for one night sheesh " " not coming to see me last night made me feel so rejected, why didn't come see me " I stare at him " Cory " he laughs then get's up from my seat.

" What have I missed? " he's now in full Beta mode and reports to me all I missed and what I need to get done " so how was the meeting? did the Alphas take you seriously? " " it was actually well received considering all that they're going through with the random pack attacks and missing pack members " " okay, that's great to hear because the old fools here are asking for an audience with you in Ten minutes about it, they apparently can't believe you would go and say something so dangerous and reckless without first running it by them "

I pound my fist on my desk seething in anger " those old bastards just like getting on my nerves, do they think themselves above me? to say such things have they lost their minds or has too many spiders and cob web filled them up " I rise from my seat " where are you going? " Cory asks as I head for the door " to do some dusting, it's about time I put these people in their place once and for all "

I storm into the throne room and sit on my throne ad the top of the room, Cory comes and stands to my right and we wait patiently for them to file into the room, conversing among themselves not realizing that I'm already in the room, I pick up bits and pieces of their conversations about doing something stupid and should be replaced for not having produced an heir.

" It seems you have sure have a lot to say about me hmm " they freeze and immediately bow to me " greetings my King " they say in unison, " now do carry on with your conversation, do not let me hinder you in any way, as it was such a topic of interest that you did not even notice that Cory and I were waiting here for you "

" Ahh we do apologize my King but it is not anything of interest, so let us not waste time on it " I look down at Elder Tom the biggest thorn in my side " is that so, then do tell why is it that you have requested my presence "

" Well my King, we have heard some rumblings about you telling others you believe the Reapers Nation are once again on the rise "

" Well what ever thunder claps you have heard, they are most certainly correct "

" But my King that is absolutely impossible, I mean the Alpha King at the time saw to it that every last one of the enemy was destroyed, you must recant your statement "

A rumbling laughter bubbles up from my chest and they all look at me bewildered " you know, I've always found you lot to be quite amusing which is why I allowed you all to continue breathing even going as far as to look past your siphoning funds from my treasury for your own personal gain, bene fits and greed because what is a few thousands to me after all "

" We are simply saying your majesty that we think " " don't do that, don't think okay? leave that to me, you know the King the one sitting here on the throne, all you need to do is to continue living and stay out of my way "

" No, it's not but can you make a guess as to which of us in the room has the sole power to make it such ? "

None of them respond, " that's what I thought, it's best you move along and keep your useless thoughts to yourselves unless you wish to have those tongues of yours removed "

They pause then bow and file out of the room " come closer Elder Tom "

He reluctantly steps closer to my throne " look at me " " how could I dare to stare into the face of the King " " LOOK AT ME " he can not resist my Alpha command and looks up at me and fear crosses his face.
