Chapter 93

I smile looking at a few younger wolves stare at my bike and even take pictures with it, two of them come into the diner and look around before their eyes land on us, considering we’re the only customers here it’s obvious it has to be ours, they come over to us “excuse me, sorry to bother you but we were just wondering if the bike outside is yours” they say talking to Zach who smiles and points at me “that’s her baby, I’m just riding shot gun”

Surprise flashes in their faces “sorry” “that’s fine, what do you need?” “it’s the first time we’ve seen one in person so we were just curious about a few things” “ask away” they ask their questions and I answer them all, they were about to leave when I stopped them “I would appreciate it if you told your friends to put every part they took off my bike back because I assure you I will find each and everyone of you and break every one of your fingers”

They look confused but nod, I watch them seemingly argue with two of their friends and the two guys bend clearly putting the parts back, “I’ll be right back” “go easy on them” I pass the waitress on my way to the door “where you going hun?” “handle a few thieves that’s gathered by my bike, I’ll be back in a minute”

The bell jingles as I push the door and go out “so you punks take pictures of my bike then proceed to take parts from him for what purpose?” “you own the bike?” one ask sizing me up, I walk and inspect the bike to make sure everything is where it should be, my two light caps are missing from my tires.

I sigh “hand them over while I’m asking nicely” he folded his arm “what?” I point to the tires “my light caps for my tires, they aren’t cheap” “seriously Gavin?” one of the guys who were inside with us asked “I don’t have anything” I grab him and turn him upside down, holding his legs and shake him and my two plugs fall from his back pocket “pick them up” he complies picking them up “put them back on” still holding him up he quickly screws them back on whimpering “please put me down I’m sorry”

I put him down, look at all of them “I am here from my pack to do the training at the palace, if you mess with me again I will find you, I have registered your faces and scents, not even your parents would be able to find you when I’m through with you” “sorry” they say and scramble off.

I laugh and go back into the diner, the waitress shows me to the washroom so I can wash my hands before going to eat “chivalry isn’t dead after all, you waited for little ole me” he chuckles and we dig into our food “that was incredible, I gotta come by here with Beau and Joao next time”

“Who are they?” “my friends from the pack, the Alpha and Beta to be actually” “okay, you’re close with them?” “yes I am” “is any of them your mate?” “no, I am not mated, I doubt I even have one” I start fanning “suddenly feels kind of warm, don’t you find?” “no, not at all”

“Can I ask you something” “sure, although that in itself is already a question” he chuckles again “where did you find the creature you brought here?” “in the forest, I have no issues showing someone the area I found it if it is you’re thinking of trying to find them or their hideout, but I sincerely doubt they’d still be there”

“Why’s that?” “well unless they’re stupid but any normal thinking person would move base once one of their subordinates are captured just in case they give up the bases location, by the time the enemy finds it it’s already abandoned to cover up any affiliation, would that not be the most tactical thing to do?”

“It most certainly would but it never hurts to try” “true, well I can take someone or whomever after our training time is over cause I doubt I’d have the liberty of time now our training has began and I don’t want to miss out on any training” “understood, one more question, can you tell me how you came upon her?”

I wipe my mouth “is there somewhere private we can talk” “yes” “okay, let’s go” I paid for the food because naturally he didn’t have any money on him given our impromptu escape “Sally, I will come back, maybe tomorrow or the day after with my friends, I absolutely must introduce them to your food!” Sally giggles “see you then, I will save that booth for you then” I wink at her and she giggles again “see ya”
