Aria's POV

“You might not smell like a wolf, but you still have a little bit of it in you, it shows in your eyes and your fangs,” Bale said to me.

It's the third time I'm coming to his place, since the man I called my dad decided to sell me off to him in exchange for favors.

I can still vividly remember the first night it happened, I fought with him tooth and nail, but he seems to be getting off with the fact that I wasn't compliant. I can't even recognise myself anymore, I still live with my dad in his den, but whenever the Alpha requests for me, I immediately go over to the alpha's den, I'm tired of the degradation. The only friend I have has been banned from coming to see me, I miss Rita but most especially, I miss my mum.

The alpha breath brushed over my face as he thrust deep within me, this is not how I thought I'd experience mating, “you smell of honey and you taste the same, which is something I can bear with” he said with a grunt just as he emptied himself inside me.

He stood up and pointed at the potion that's by the side of the bed, “here drink this,” I quickly sat up and drank it.

At least he's sensible enough not to knock me up.

“Can I go now?” I asked, speaking up for the first time since I arrived tonight. “You can, I don't want anyone seeing you leave my place, go through the back, I'm expecting visitors,” he said with a frown.

I hurriedly stood up, wore my clothes and left through the back of his den.

It's going to be yet another full moon soon and I really need to find a spot so that I can try to shift again. I'm mentally stressed and physically drained. The only chance I have to escape all this torment and torture is if I can shift, I need to shift and I need to do so very soon, no pack can accept a stray that's not certain if it's human or a werewolf. I know I can shift and I need to do so as soon as possible.

I walked for a while, the opposite direction the pack use to shift, I saw a clearing that's just enough for me, I sat down and waited for midnight.

I can feel the nervousness seeping through my pores, I've never been more nervous like this in my life, what if I get caught? What if I still don't change? Can I continue this life?

Once I noticed the moon is in it's full bloom, I stood up and shed my clothes, then I started straining my bones, I strained and strained but nothing happened, I bent and strained most of the bones in my body but only my claw and fangs that appeared, out of nowhere I saw a wolf walked up to where I was, stood and was looking at me.

I quickly donned my clothes as I was about to take off back to my den, the wolf shifted back to his human form, “wait, please!” he called out.

I paused, and slowly turned towards him, “please don't hurt me I was just trying to shift in solitude,” I pleaded to the man, or should I say boy, he looks a bit young, as young as I am.

“Have you gotten to the age?”

Quietly I nodded my head.

“Well, if you've not been able to shift, it's not bad, there are late bloomers, you might be one of them, and those who are late bloomers tend to be very strong, just check out my brother, the alpha of my pack,” he said in a rush.

“Your brother? Who are you and which pack are you coming from?” I asked him.

“I’m Rio and I'm from Bloodmoon pack” he said with a smile.

“You are serious?” I asked, trying to mask my shock.

“Yes I am, do you mind telling me your own name?” Rio asked.

“That won't be necessary,” I quickly said, “I have to be on my way now though, my dad would be waiting for me,” I said while I turned around and started heading home.

He didn't say anything, and he didn't try to stop me. I ran all the way home, dreading the fact that my dad could still be up.

“Where did you go?” My dad asked immediately I entered the den.

“nowhere,” “what do you mean by nowhere, the alpha would not have spent the night with you because tonight is the full moon and it's his duty to be present when there would be a shift in the pack,” my dad said.

“Sorry, I lost my way.”

The next thing I felt was a sharp sting on my face, my dad just slapped me,

“Young lady, I suggest you think twice before you lie to me next time, you filthy whore, you'd better get out of my sight before I deal with you.”

I hurriedly walked to my room, I still can't believe that my dad hit me.

Trying not to allow the tears to drop seem futile, in minutes I was a mess with all the tears streaming down my face, I couldn't help but to cry profusely, I miss when things were still easy, can't believe he's the one calling me a whore when he traded me for cheap favors.

After I managed to calm down enough to sleep, it was barely morning when the clack sound by my window pane woke me up. Looking out the window, I saw Rita standing there. I quickly rushed outside, where I pulled her to a hug, she hugged me stiffly. “What's going on Rita, what are you doing here?” I asked.

“Can't I come and see my friend again?”

“Of course, you can, it's just that you know how my dad has been recently and I don't want you to get into any trouble” I quickly blurted out.

“Hmmm… that's ok, I came because there's something I want to discuss with you”

“Ohhh… it must be serious, considering you're out here this early, do you want to come inside?” I asked her.

“No no, outside here is fine, I won't take much of your time.”

“Ok then, what's it?” I asked.

“I'll be getting married, Aria.” she said without a smile on her face.

“What…? So soon? And why don't you look happy?” I asked.

“I'm happy”

“You don't look happy, who are you getting married to?” I couldn't help but ask.

“You really don't want to know who I'm getting married to, it's not of great necessity” she retorted.

“Did you meet with your mate? Or are you in love with anyone of recent?” I asked.

“Speak up Rita, why are you looking like that? You look scared and I don't understand what's going on,” I said, trying to hold her hand but she kept moving back.

“I'm getting married to Bale” she informed me.

“What? Which Bale? Is there another Bale I don't know about?”

“Alpha Bale, I'm getting married to the alpha” she said while looking away from me.

I couldn't hide my shock stricken face.

“Why? Why Bale?” I couldn't help but to ask.

She rolled her eyes at me as she said, “because I love him! One more thing Aria,” I looked up at her with shock written all over my face.

“Can you please stay away from my man?”

West POV Months had drifted by since my return from the trip, and they'd been filled with peace, relaxation, and a quiet sense of normalcy we'd longed for in the pack. Verdicts had been passed – Willow had been banished from the pack, and Sage had made the decision to go with her. Knowing Sage's unwavering faithfulness and loyalty to me and the pack despite everything Willow had done, I couldn't let him leave without ensuring he was taken care of. So, I'd made him the Alpha over the Crescent pack. Now, Sage and Willow were there, building a new chapter of their lives. All my hope lies in the fact that I hope Willow can make a life for herself.Ragnar refuses to become my Beta, because he still wants to have control over his men, they seem more like a family to him than just warriors.Liam assumed Sage’s position, becoming the pack Beta and I feel I have made the best decision ever. Before Sage's departure, Aria and I had decided to perform our marital rite, a ceremony to solidify our

  • Luna's Revenge    Chapter 156

Aria's POV I dialed West's number that night, my heart racing with anticipation as the phone rang. And then, on the very first ring, he picked up. It was as though he'd been waiting for my call, poised to answer the moment it came in. "West?" I called out to him, my voice a mix of longing and vulnerability. Even with the far distance between us, I could sense the weight of his emotions through our bond. "Hmm," he responded, his low hum sending a pang through my heart. "I called you because I miss you terribly," I told him plainly, bypassing any need to beat around the bush. I needed to be honest about how I felt. West was quiet for a long time, the only sound was his deep breathing over the line. In my mind, I thought, "Oh my man, stop fighting it.""Aria," he called out to me, and oh, how I'd missed hearing my name from his mouth. The way he said it sent a shiver down my spine. "I've also missed you," he told me. "I'm doing well. You don't have to worry yourself." I started nodding

  • Luna's Revenge    Chapter 155

Aria's POV It's been a mere two weeks since West set out on a journey, leaving me behind in the pack's midst. Initially, I'd thought I'd manage just fine without him, coping with the void of his absence by throwing myself into pack activities. I'd been advising the pack members, involving myself deeply in their lives, trying to fill the space left by West's physical distance. But despite my busyness, I couldn't shake off the nagging thoughts about my mate, about what West wanted from me, from us. The night after Beatrice's wedding lingered in my mind like a vivid memory. As we were getting ready for bed, I'd decided to join West in the bathroom, seeking a moment of closeness, of connection. But the instant I entered, he hastily wrapped up whatever he was doing and headed straight to bed. I followed him onto the bed, trying to initiate touch, to bridge the chasm of distance he'd been placing between us. Yet the coldness he exuded was palpable, even scary in its intensity."West?" I ca

  • Luna's Revenge    Chapter 154

Beatrice POV Months had drifted by, and our pack had finally found a pocket of calm and tranquility we'd longed for. Laurel, my precious daughter, was growing into a strong and feisty little thing, a true reflection of her father's spirit. Meanwhile, the Alpha was preparing for a journey, a trip into the human world to check on business that had been suffering in his absence. It was high time he went to assess things himself.Aria, my dear friend, and sister, preoccupies herself with affairs of the pack, mostly giving advice to the pack members and interceding in conflicts. But today wasn't about any of those things. Today was a special day, a day for me. I was finally performing my marriage rite with my one true love, Ragnar. He wasn't one for fussing over traditions like marriage rituals, but I cared deeply about it. I wanted to be tied to him through the marital ritual, to make our bond official in a way that felt meaningful to me. The occasion was set for today so the Alpha could

  • Luna's Revenge    Chapter 153

West POV I led the small but formidable group of warriors, with Aria by my side, as we made our way to the Darkhood pack's territory under the cover of night. The darkness seemed to amplify our senses, making us more attuned to every sound, every movement in the shadows. Our intent was clear – to confront the remnants of the leaders of the Darkhood pack, to put an end to their aggression toward us. The air was tense with anticipation as we moved stealthily, our senses heightened for any sign of danger.Upon arriving at Darkhood's territory, we found fewer guards than expected, as if they'd pulled back most of their forces after the earlier battle. We moved through their lands with caution, tracking down the Alpha and some of those who'd led the attack against us. The confrontation was intense but brief – the remnants of Darkhood's leadership were not prepared for our sudden appearance. We dealt with them swiftly, ensuring they understood our pack's strength and would not soon forget

  • Luna's Revenge    Chapter 152

West POV I stood at the forefront of our warriors, the field before us a cauldron of chaos as the attackers from Darkhood pack and some of Crescent pack charged toward us. The air was thick with tension, the scent of damp earth and adrenaline mingling in my nostrils. My eyes scanned the oncoming threat, a mix of werewolves from Darkhood, their allies from Crescent pack, and I knew fairies were also in their midst, adding a dangerous edge to the battle.Nathan's voice was a low whisper beside me, "I'll be with you guys and magically tackle the fairies today." I nodded at him in appreciation, a surge of gratitude toward him and Emily for their aid. Their hands moved fast and smoothly, like dancers in a deadly ballet, possibly weaving away the magic that could assess me and my warriors. I was so grateful to them for that, their contribution was a silent but potent force in our favor. It was barely an hour into the intense battle when I sensed my mate's presence. Aria slipped into the fi
