Spellbound

Her mind doesn't want to believe him but for some unknown reason, her heart wanted to trust him.

And she decided to follow her heart.

"I need time to pack my things. Are you ok with waiting?" She asked.

"I am more than ok with waiting as long as you are willing to come with us," Ace replied.

"I don't have any other way either," Azariah muttered under her breath.

Ace heard what she said was just perfect but he still wanted to get under her skin. Only to irritate her he asked if she has said anything.

"No, I was just talking to myself," she said.

"Then you must share what you said to yourself to me as well. Starting today, you are my chosen mate. Which means you are my other half and you and I, we are the same. Our souls are tied from now," He said, getting a little too close.

Her breathing became faster. Unknown to herself, she was trying not to breathe. Her heart was pounding so fast that she was afraid that he could hear it.

He on the other hand was no better than her. His heart was running really fast as well.

"Our souls aren't tied yet. We have to perform a ritual before I officially become your chosen mate," she said in a small tone.

"Keyword is yet her. I will make sure to change that yet too soon. You should go and arrange your things. I don't mind waiting a lifetime for you but I am not sure if my pack members would do the same or not since you are still not their Luna," Ace casually said before looking at the screen of his phone.

Azariah's eyes widened after hearing the Luna word. She wasn't ready for that title and she wasn't sure if she was even going to be ready for it.

She loves people but talking before so many people was another thing. She always used to admire Luna for managing everything so easily.

She made everything look so effortlessly easy but she knew that if she tries to do the same thing then she would faint and might even die.

"I am not ready," she said in a panicked tone.

Ace cupped her cheeks with his hands. They made her face look extremely small but her face wasn't small by any means.

She was slightly chubby and has a round face.

"Calm down, we are not throwing you into performing all of these duties yet. We have people there to teach you and only after mastering that field, you will officially start working as the Luna. You still have to meet so many people," his eyes were looking at her eyes.

"But-"

"Sh, no buts. The decisions have already been made. If you want to say something then say it after leaving this place. We need to leave," he said and it seemed as if someone has cast a spell on her.

She nodded her head, not another question asked, and she went to her room.

It was empty just like how she expected it to be. She kept looking at the door, waiting for her parents to come so that she can meet them for one last time but nobody came.

With a heavy heart, she started packing her things.

With each piece of cloth, her heart becomes heavier. She would remember who brought her what and how the day was.

She finally finished packing her things and there were about 4 bags full of clothes.

As said before, she doesn't lack things one can buy with money. She lacked a loving pair of arms that would hug her one last time.

She couldn't believe that 21 years of living here and yet she doesn't have a close friend.

She wasn't antisocial but after her soulmate died, she started distancing herself from everyone.

Others didn't bother reaching out to her either and that's how she lost her connection with others.

As hurtful as it was, it was needed. She found out who her real friend was and unfortunately, no one was.

She left after a silent goodbye.

They got in a car and as soon as her head hits the car's seat, she ended up falling asleep.

She was never the type to sleep in car rides. She was more like the type to watch the outsider world with awe in her eyes.

It was a good opportunity for him though. He couldn't tear his eyes away from her as if she has him under a spell.

Or maybe she was just too beautiful to be true. He couldn't decide but he was already in love with her.

Loving someone was such a coincidental thing to do.

You might fall for someone you have met just now.

You might fall for someone after talking to them without seeing their faces.

You might fall for someone after seeing one of their good deeds.

You might fall for someone just because of the way they laugh or maybe with the way how their eyes sparkle with joy and excitement whenever they are happy or how it is filled with mischievous ideas.

You might know someone for your entire life and don't have any feelings for them and boom, at one single moment, you are in love with them.

It takes a single moment to fall for someone. A single moment.

A single moment where you realize that you love how this person is.

A single moment to realize how you want to spend the rest of your life with them.

A single moment to realize that even if the entire world hates them, you are going to fall for them either way, you are going to love them either way.

It's amazing how we see or meet someone and confirm that we want to spend the rest of our life with them.

How we think that they are worthy of our emotions, of our love, of our care, of having a share of our heart.

Loving someone is beautiful.

And Ace was experiencing that beautiful feeling
