He was so busy getting mesmerized by her that he didn't realize when his hands touched her face.

A few hairs were covering her left eye, covering her face from his view. He didn't like it and he eagerly pushed them away from her face.

His touch made her awake and she looked into his eyes. Her eyes were dreamy at the start but suddenly they filled up with sorrow.

She was looking like a fragile doll. Innocent looking with so much sorrow in her beautiful eyes.

He understood that she was slowly realizing what has happened to her. He wanted to give her some time to get herself together but he couldn't bear the pain in her eyes.

"You can meet them whenever you want to once we are done with this entire mating thing. I will never take you away from your family," he said.

She looked at him with widened eyes. She wasn't expecting him to behave this softly with her.

"And why would you do that?"

"Because I don't want you to stay sad. All of these are for you and only you. What price are they going to have if you stay here with a sad heart?"

She kept looking at him. Her mind was clouding with hundreds of questions yet she doesn't know how to speak her mind.

"You have lots of questions, right?" She nodded at his question. He smiled.

"I am ready to answer all of them. You can shoot your questions one after another," he said, sitting more comfortably in his place.

The car only has them and the driver. They have a black tinted window in between them and the driver so that the driver can't see what's going on the other side.

He couldn't even hear what they were saying. Once Azariah realized this, she started feeling excited for some unknown reason.

The idea of what they can do in this car without the driver knowing despite him being here was an exciting thing.

The next second she started scolding herself for such thoughts.

"You are so young. How come you are the Alpha?" She asked, playing with her fingers.

Ace wanted her to give her entire attention to him. He took her hands in hers and her eyes widened for a second.

"Relax," he said and that's what it took for her to relax. She instantly calmed down.

"My parents married each other because of love. They are mates but the main reason was love. Since my father was the Alpha since the very start and had lots of responsibilities, he honestly couldn't give her as much time. He couldn't take her on world tours, the main motive of her life," he was caressing her fingers.

Azariah was having a hard time focusing on what Ace was saying due to the magic his fingers were doing.

"As soon as I hit 18, he decided to hand over his Alpha duties to me and take my mother on world tours. Since they don't have any other kids, I was the only hope. He still manages a few works and our family company though. This might be why I am here before you as a young Alpha," he said in a calm tone.

Azariah was happy for Ace's mother. She got such a loving father but at the same time, she was feeling bad for Ace.

He was still young. They could have waited a few more years before handing out the power to him.

According to his words, his parents dumped their duties on him and visited this world. That was sad.

"How old are you?"

"I am currently 22," he said with a smile but Azariah's smile dropped.

"It means, it means -" her face turned pale.

Ace was only one year older than Azariah which means he has a mate somewhere out there. He can't be with her forever.

"It means what? Calm down, love. Why are you panicking? Everything is going to be alright. Tell me what happened. Is everything ok?" Ace asked with a worried look, his hands now cupping her face.

" You have a mate somewhere out there and I am not your mate. You can't perform that mating ritual with me," she said.

Ace was looking at her with an amused smile.

"So you still haven't understood?" He asked while a small smile was playing on the edges of his lips.

"Understand what?" Azariah's mind wasn't working at all.

"This," Ace said while touching her hands, and her eyes widened. She could feel the electric shocks that bought her pleasure instead of pain.

"B-but h-how i-is t-that?" She was stuttering so badly that Ace was again worried about her.

"Why are you so surprised? We both have wolfs, in fact, I am a Lycan. It's only normal for us to have a soulmate. Why are you so shocked like you never expected to have a mate?" He asked, not knowing that her next words were going to give him a shock.

"That's because I lost my mate 2 years ago. How can I have another mate?" She said tears were streaming down her cheeks by now.

His inner wolf was angry about the fact that someone other than him was paired with her but Ace knew that showing his anger would only push her away now.

Hence, he just pulled her closer. Her head was now on his chest. She could hear his heartbeats that were beating for her only.

He could smell a sweet fragrance on her and feel her warm body against him.

It was enough to remind her that she only belongs to him now. Both of them calmed down.

The mate bond was too strong.

The car stopped and they parted away.

"Where are we?" She asked.

"Home, our home," he said while caressing her cheeks with his thumbs.

She nodded her head and he opened the door.

Their ears filled up with different questions from everyone around them but all they did was look into each other's eyes.
