Aliyah had stopped giggling now. It was as if she had heard my footsteps. I should have been more careful and taken her by surprise. What was she giggling about? What was so funny that she couldn't bother to keep her voice low? Why would she even be giggling all by herself? Was she going crazy or what?

It must have something to do with where she went to. Where exactly did she even go? I should've followed her, or at least sent someone to spy on her. She was really acting suspicious these days. Her audacity was on another level now.

I put my ear against the door to listen for any sound. But I couldn't hear anything from inside. Could it be that Kelan had woken up? Could that be the case? Mom and I really had some work to do here. Probably hire someone who would enter the room one day and catch them unaware.
