Finding a wife

Christopher Andrews paced to and fro his office .He still finds what Grandpa Andrews said this morning ridiculous .

" You either get married or lose the company Chris,there are just two sides to this coin " . David stated as he just stared amusedly at his best friend .

" Do I just walk into the street and marry any lady I find within a month ?!" Christopher asked obviously annoyed at the way his friend is so calm about the situation .

" It's nothing to be upset about Buddy , I'm just trying to make you see the situation ."  David smiled showing generously the large dimple on his left cheek .

Christopher stopped pacing and walked over to seat beside his friend on the big sofa chair in his king's bedroom sized office . 

" Thank you captain obvious ,your point has been proven, what do I do ?" . 

" Find a lady ,fall in love and get married and have a happy ever after ending ". 

Christopher rolled his eyes at the annoying idea David  just proposed .

" That's never going to happen ! I'm never going to waste my emotions on useless feelings like love ".

David noticed christopher had taken the matter seriously and he decided to have a talk with his friend .

" Not everyone will be like Evelyn " .

He instantly noticed how his friend's face flashed and that made him a little bit sad .

Just until when will christopher cling onto his feelings for his ex ?

" I think it's time we end this discussion ,kindly get back to work Mr David Marshall" .

David knew his friend had gotten angry so he  rose up and decided to leave even when he knows his friend won't be able to let go of him once he pulls the card up his sleeve .

" I'll leave if you want me to but I hope you haven't forgotten your family company is going to be donated to one of these hungry foundations in a month if you don't find a wife , something we both know you can't ever do alone with this weird thinking of yours ".

He turned towards the door and pulled the door knob .

" Fine ! I need your help , please help me !" . Christopher pleaded cursing at his friend deep within him .

" You are such a good boy !" David smiled and walked back to seat beside christopher who scowled at him playfully.

The only one that gets to see the playful side of Christopher Andrews is David and Grandpa Andrews  ,to everyone else he is an handsome annoyingly cold workaholic Man.

" I want a contract marriage that will last for just six months ,once I've gotten Grandpa's trust and he hands over the company we get a divorce and that's all and there will be a compensation of course ,the question is who ?!" .

David smiled brightly .

" It feels like one of those TV dramas ,who knows you might fall in love and eventually stay married like it happens in those movies !" . He said enthusiastically .

" That's never going to happen and please stop watching all those unreal  romantic movies !". 

" That sounds like one of the lines the male lead characters in those movies say".

Christopher who was starting to get annoyed glared at him and David knew it was time to be quiet and get to business.
