I stared at Damien, wondering if I had heard him correctly. I asked again louder…“Tonight?”

“Yes.”

“But my working hours are over,” I protested. “I've been here since morning.” Damien leaned back in his chair, completely unfazed by my complaint. “You signed an employment contract, Miss Jane.”

I blinked at him. “That doesn't mean you can just keep me here whenever you want.”

“It means you're required to perform duties assigned to you.”

I clenched my jaw. He always had an answer.

I was exhausted,

  • MARRIED TO MY SCHOOL BULLY    THE MESSAGE

I couldn't stop thinking about what happened at the party. The moment I got home, I changed into my nightdress and lay on my bed, staring at the ceiling. Damien's friends had looked at me as if they knew something I didn't. They had called my name like they had known me for years, and one of them had even asked Damien if he was still into me. I kept replaying the question in my head. Still into me? What did that even mean? Then there was Damien. The way he had looked at me all night made me feel as though I was supposed to remember something. Something important. Something I had forgotten.A strange feeling settled in my stomach. I reached for my phone and called Lisa. She picked up after a few rings. “Jane? What's wrong?”“Nothing. I just want to ask you something.”“Okay.”“The day we went to that party, was I with anyone?”There was a brief silence.“Oh yes,” Lisa answered. My heart skipped. “Who was the person?”“A man, of course.”I sat up on my bed. “What do you mean, of course?

  • MARRIED TO MY SCHOOL BULLY    THE PRIVATE EVENT

I pushed him away and stormed out of his office, my heart racing as I hurried toward the elevator. I didn't stop to think about anything else. My mind was already running through everything that had happened, and the more I tried to push it away, the more confused I became. I just wanted to get home.By the time I reached my room, I was exhausted. I dropped my bag beside the bed and lay down, staring at the ceiling as my thoughts continued to circle around Damien. I couldn't understand that man. One moment he was acting like my cold, demanding boss, and the next, he was doing things that left me questioning everything. My phone rang.I reached for it and answered without checking the caller. “Hello?”“I'm at the gate.”I sat up immediately. I knew that voice.“Get ready. We're leaving.”I frowned. “Leaving for where Sir?”“The event.”“You're already here?”“I won't wait all night, Jane.”The call ended.I stared at my phone for a few seconds before getting off the bed. “Unbelievable.

  • MARRIED TO MY SCHOOL BULLY    THE FIRST DEMAND

By the time I got to work the next morning, I felt like I hadn't slept at all. My body was exhausted, my head was heavy, and my eyes burned from everything that had happened the night before. I had spent most of the night thinking about Damien, the agreement, and the things he had said to me. I still didn't understand what I had gotten myself into.I dropped my bag beside my desk and sat down. For a few minutes, I simply stared at the computer screen, trying to gather enough strength to start working. I needed sleep, not another pile of work.Damien still hadn't arrived, and a small part of me was relieved.I opened the first file on my desk and tried to concentrate, but the words kept blurring together. I rubbed my eyes and sighed. “Just get through today,” I whispered to myself.A few minutes later, the office door opened.I immediately straightened in my chair as Damien walked in. He glanced at me before placing his briefcase on the desk.“You're late.”I looked at the clock. “I ca

  • MARRIED TO MY SCHOOL BULLY    YOU OWE ME

I stared at the document in my hands, unable to believe what I was reading. I read it once, then again, hoping I had somehow misunderstood the words. But no matter how many times I looked at it, the meaning remained the same. I had signed an agreement that night. An agreement stating that I owed Damien another night with him, and if I refused, I had to do whatever he wanted me to do.I slowly raised my head and looked at him. “You actually came up with this?”Damien sat behind his desk, looking completely unbothered. “You signed it.”My eyes widened. “I was drunk!”“You still signed it.”I looked down at the document again. My fingers tightened around the paper. How had I even managed to sign something like this? I could barely remember what happened that night. Yet somehow, I had apparently been sober enough to sign a contract that now had my entire life hanging over my head.“This is crazy,” I muttered. “Who even writes an agreement like this?” He said nothing.I looked at him again

  • MARRIED TO MY SCHOOL BULLY    THE STRANGER FROM THAT NIGHT

I woke up the next morning feeling completely exhausted. My body still ached from the previous night's madness. I couldn't believe Damien had actually dragged me into a midnight meeting after I had already spent the entire day working. I barely slept, and now I am back at work. The moment I stepped into the office, I hoped Damien wouldn't give me another ridiculous task.Apparently, I was wrong.A huge pile of documents landed on my desk.I stared at them in disbelief.“Go through all of these,” Damien said.I looked at the documents, then at him. “Sir, are you serious?”He didn't even look up from his laptop.I picked up the first file and dropped it again. “Why are you being this wicked to me?”That finally made him look up.I folded my arms. “You dragged me to a midnight meeting yesterday, and now you're giving me another mountain of work. Don't you think that's too much?”Damien stared at me silently. Something about his expression made me uncomfortable. Then he said something I w

After spending the entire day correcting those documents, the last thing I wanted was to attend some mysterious private meeting.“And what exactly am I supposed to do at this meeting?” I asked.“Assist me.”“Assist you with what?”“You'll find out when we get there.”I sighed heavily. “You're impossible.”“I've been called worse.”I rolled my eyes and walked out before I said something that would cost me my job. I went home, changed quickly and returned to the o
