The growl is so loud that even the trees around shake at the sound.
My eyes are hazy from tears but I catch the sight of a great dark figure running towards us.
"Is that..."
"It's Alpha Liam! Fuck!"
"What do we do now? He sounds angry."
"I don't think he'd do anything drastic. Just a firm warning. After all, she's still a whore and it's not like we touched her."
I wipe my eyes and sit up. My clothes are a mess and a few bruises mark my skin. I feel so horribly ashamed. The words float in my head, taunting.
Sex slave.
I want to strip off my very own skin; hating the residual feeling of their coarse hands.
The great figure is getting closer. It's a ten foot tall wolf with ink black fur and green eyes. It's growling madly and drooling all over the place.
The warriors all bow once he nears. The first one to talk is the rough voiced man.
"Alpha Liam, we apologize. We kn-"
Slash! Squelch!
The man doesn't get a chance to speak. Liam crushes him with his grand paw immediately he opens his mouth. I lie there in utter confusion.
He was defending me?
The other four warriors are in a frozen state of horror; they watch as the beast howls at the sky, jaws tainted with their friend's blood.
"A-alpha Liam?"
Another slash, another crushed neck. Liam was not showing his packmates any mercy. The remaining three are crying, pleading for their lives.
The wolf's serpentine green eyes meet mine. We stay like this for a moment; until he notices my ruffled look.
Then he goes mad again.
Several other wolves and warriors from the pack are coming from behind him. He roars at them all and they instantly get back.
"Liam! Calm down. Fucking hell!" Beta Mike calls from afar. Liam only turns and growls menacingly at him.
In the next second, the wolf turns and faces me. My heart drops as it approaches and opens its bloody jaws.
"Argh!" Liam's wolf carries me up into its mouth and I panic for a hot second.
But the wolf does not crush my head or pull out my spine. It takes off, running into the woods- heading for the lake.
It runs for a while and all I can do is stifle the sudden tears spring to the surface.
Was this my life now?
Condemned to have the title of a slave slapped onto my forehead? A baby making machine...
The trees pass by and the night's cool wind whips my dark hair left and right. Liam's wolf finally arrives at the river. Gently, it sets me down on the wet shore. There's no madness in its eyes now; only a certain tenderness that human Liam never shows.
Those green eyes look at me with longing. I shakily raise a hand and pat its wet snout. My palm is instantly covered in blood.
"T-thank you..." I say.
Before my eyes, the wolf starts to morph; bones cracking, fur merging- until the naked form of human Liam appears.
His face is cold unlike his wolf.
"Who said you could just move around the perimeters like that?"
I look at him, speechless. "I-I wanted a...a bath."
Liam scoffs then and walks towards me, green eyes glinting with malice. I back away from him, truly afraid.
His face, chest and arms are thoroughly coated in blood.
"A bath? Don't be stupid. Even if you wanted to swim, the other river is much safer."
His voice drops as he grabs my arm and pulls me to him.
"You made me lose control, girl. You absolute fool...now the pack members will have questions. Why do I give two fucks about a slave like yourself?"
My breath hitches; Liam draws me closer and I keep my face away from his.
"Why are you rogues always fucking causing trouble?!"
He sniffs my skin then, causing me to retreat in fear. "P-please don't."
The image of those men touching and trying to have me is still too fresh. I don't know when it happens, but I start crying.
"I-I'm sorry. I should have gone to the other river. But c-can you blame me? I'm not welcomed here! Everyone looks at me like a slave...like an object! I might not have a pack but does that make me so...worthless. So useless."
I collapse to the ground in tears. Flashes of my parents mauled bodies and their packmates' cruel gazes taunt me.
I was forced to go rogue...
I sob into the ground, hating everything and everyone. My skin feels like slippery, old soap; I want to wash myself away.
Liam's bare feet come into my field of vision.
"You reek of those wolves. Get up."
I rise and my eyes meet his. They're blank and emotionless.
Of course he didn't care about my sob story. He reaches out to me, gently rubbing at the exposed bruises through the torn cloth.
I almost forget that he's naked now and touching me.
"Should I kill the remaining three?" He asks in a low, detached voice. His eyes are fixed on the bruise. It's dark but wolves can see clearly even at night.
"I-I..."
I want them dead...
"No. Let them be."
My mate raises his eyes to meet mine and I see a hint of disgust rise in them. "Trying to act all noble? Doesn't change who you are. Come."
His words sting but I ignore them, swallow the bitter pill. He was my captor and I was his slave.
Liam pulls me towards him and rips my garment open. He pulls the fabric from my body, exposing me to the harsh breeze.
He sucks in a breath seeing me. His eyes linger on the bruises.
"Act as noble as you want but I'll kill them all."
I cover my chest with my arms but Liam pulls them apart.
"We'll wash that scent off you now, girl. Then you will show my lips everywhere they touched you..."
I'm shivering and it's not from the cold. It's from him; Liam.He gently touches my skin, making sure not to grab the bruises; then he carries me into his arms. He does not look at me; cold, angular face focused forward. There's nothing I can do, but curl up into his warmth. For some reason, this disgusting pack wolf feels so comforting at this moment.I bury myself in his scent, weeping silently from the encounter. I truly thought..."Hush, rogue." Liam enters the river and it's not long until I feel the icy cold kiss of the water. He lays me down so I float, facing the sky."Why...why do you hate rogues so much?" I ask.Normally, most pack wolves hated rogues. It was a common feud. However, Liam's hate was unnatural; almost insane. It made him despise even me, his mate. The moon is casting a soft silver glow tonight; Liam uses his hand to splash water over my belly. He rubs gently. "Don't ask me any questions. I'm not obligated to you.""Then why am I here? You can reject me. The
Liam immediately pulls away from me and I dip myself deeper to hide my nakedness."I'll be right there," he says. "It's urgent Liam. They...it's concerning this slave girl."My body instantly goes numb. Slave girl. Liam nods and swims back to shore, leaving me in the middle of the low current river. He doesn't look back once, strutting away butt naked with his beta.Just perfect. What did I think?I sigh and swim forward as well. My clothes are in ruins but I make do, wrapping the fabric over me. Shivering, I find my way out of the forest. I'm lucky not to have gotten lost. Immediately I exit the thick cluster of canopies, my eyes fall to the spot where I had lain, helpless. I grit my teeth.I hope they rot in hell. I rub my arms to warm up and run down back to the minor pack house. It must be nine PM but the halls are filled with whispering omegas and ordinaries. The moment I step into the house, those who see me go silent.Every one of them is staring at me. There are varying
When I wake up, I'm on the floor in a huge room. The main packhouse. The place smells of lavender."You're awake." It's a soft, female voice. But for some reason, the voice sends chills all over my body. Some of my wounds have healed; the deeper ones from the claw strikes have not.Every single part of my body burns.Someone comes to stand above me; it's the proposed princess."Gwen, is it?" She signals for someone to get me up. One muscular guard comes over and pulls my naked body up so I stand.I have to support myself on a nearby wall. The proposed mate swirls a glass of wine before looking at me. Her eyes are as golden as her hair. She puts on a delicate smile."My name is Tina. The Alpha's soon to be Luna."These words cut a bit into my skin but I try to hide how much it hurts. Tina tilts her head back and gulps down the wine. "As much as I'd have loved to see my mate's plaything die like an animal, I couldn't. He needs you to give us an heir, doesn't he?"Huh...She knew? I act
Liam kept his promise.I don't know why it makes me happy but it does. Instantly, the disgust I feel on my skin eases up. It's like the encounter never happened.Like I've been washed off clean. The pack wolves are mad though. Some are crying and cursing."All for a whore! Our Alpha has failed us for a common, useless whore!""She deserves to die! I don't care if I lose my life, I'll kill her!""Down with the whore!"The crowd is becoming increasingly dangerous. I tuck my head to my chest and begin to retreat to the pack house.I run through the crowd but before I can get to the pack house, I hear Alpha Liam's voice boom loudly."Silence!" His voice carries such authority that I have to stop in my tracks. I turn slowly, see him stand on a platform wth his five betas and seven gammas. He's too far away for me to make out his expression but I know he's holding a firm face. "These three are perfect examples of what will happen if a property of mine is touched. Rogue or not. It is the s
For a moment, Liam is frozen; as though surprised. But I pry his lips apart, feel his tongue slowly respond. My heart is racing; I'm covering up for the pain I feel. He would never love me and that was alright.I would never love a pack wolf either. I roughly kiss his lips until he starts to take charge. Liam grabs my hair and pulls it with force. I cry out into his mouth and he grins, taking a lip between his teeth. His hands begin to rummage through my body and soon, I'm tingling all over. My hairs are all standing; goosebumps cover my skin. Liam trails his lips from my lips to my cheek. His breath is hot compared to the cool breeze of the night."You fucking perfect thing," he curses into my ear, making sure to tease with his tongue. I let out a slight moan, grabbing his tensing muscles. He goes from my ear to my neck, sucking and kissing as he goes. My lower belly is on fire, I can hardly think straight."Liam...""Shh." I barely register the fact that we are out in the open,
Two weeks after the encounter with my mate, I'm regretting it.All over the pack property, I'm being pointed and sneered at. Not just because of the incident with the warriors but for something else.My stupid public sex with Liam."She's despicable.""Desperate to take Luna Tina's place.""I wonder what the elders are saying concerning this whore.""Alpha Liam is being too generous to a common rogue."All sorts of venomous curses had been thrown my way. There was nothing I had not heard since that day. The worst part- this was only the starting. It took a lot of work for wolves to conceive for the very first time. First pups were the hardest. It would be exceptionally harder for me with a weakened wolf.Bottom line: we had to do this multiple times. And so that's what we did. It didn't matter where I was or what I was doing. As long as my mate wanted a fuck, he would send for me and get one. It even got to the point where I now stay in the main pack house. This word spread quickly a
Slowly, I turn back. He's standing there, with two of his betas and one gamma. His claws are drawn; as long as my entire forearm. Those green eyes are devoid of all emotion.Cold.Immediately, I fall to my knees and beg. "L-liam it's not what you think. Li-"A quick slash makes me swallow my words. In the blink of an eye, Liam was in front of me and I was bleeding from a spot on my neck."It's Alpha to you, slut," he says. I'm horrified beyond words. He could have killed me just then.He can kill me...His eyes are fierce with madness and his lips are curved in a snarl. This does not resemble the man who would passionately kiss me when he wanted to.He does not even resemble the one who would ignore me like I did not have any meaning. The man in front of me now is a beast. A bloodthirsty beast."Seize them and take them in for questioning." He tells his men, not taking his eyes off mine."Please Liam! Allow me to explain!" My mate doesn't seem to listen to me. He grabs my neck in a
Trigger warning: scene contains content similar to self harm.My ears are ringing from how much adrenaline is coursing through my veins. The image of the mating mark is burning my thoughts. Did he really do that? When? How?I'm hyperventilating and it's not just from the fear of losing my friends. It's from betrayal. Hot, coursing betrayal. My eyes start darting around the room; looking for any way to get out. Would Liam really...Would he really?Yes, he would. He didn't love me. He did not even care for my well being. He made it very clear how much he hated me; having me here only for the sake of an heir.I had even destroyed the hopes of being cherished by him.But even at that, this hurt. I never expected that he would mark Tina while I was still around. It was blatantly insulting as though I was nothing but a tool. He held me here against my will, made a deal that out me at such a disadvantage and still had the guts to disregard me in this manner.No.Absolutely not.Tears ar
The world was filled with flames. The packhouse was being consumed by fire, thick smoke coming into the night. The heat burnt my skin, and the foul smell of burnt wood and blood invaded my senses. I could hear screams echoing in every direction. It was chaos. Amidst the destruction, I found myself frozen between two men.Liam his grip tight around my wrist, his green eyes filled rage mixed with an unfamiliar feelings.Alven standing amidst the smoke, sword drawn, his expression unreadable. This was war.And I was right in the center of it.***I had always called Alven was my brother.Ever since my parents passed away and I was a young rogue wolf, he stepped in as a family figure for me.He had protected, guided, and taught me how to survive. I trusted him with my life, and thought the bond between us was just for brother and sister. But I was mistaken. The way he looked at me...Initially, I refused to accept it, but whispers surrounded me. I noticed how Alven sometimes looked at me
The fire blazed fiercely overhead, thick smoke drifting into the dungeon and making it difficult to breathe. Liam held tightly to my wrist, as if afraid I might vanish the moment he released me. He had every reason to be afraid.Alven, still on chain, regarded Liam with a cold, amused expression, while Tina stayed at the entrance, her face a mask of neutrality. But I caught the brief spark in her eyes neither fear nor anger, but something more dangerous.Tina was plotting something. And I was about to find out what it was.Later that evening, once things had settled, I found myself confined to a different room, isolated from Alven. My wrists ache from the ropes, but my mind wouldn't allow me to relax.I was certain that Liam would come for me again. Yet my primary concern was not him; it was Tina. The way she had looked at him earlier made my skin has goosebumps.I had to discover her intentions. When the guards switched shifts and silence enveloped the hallway outside my room, I took
I sat in the cold dungeon, my body aching and thoughts racing. The dim light from a low torch illuminated the light, reflecting my own feelings of weakness and despair.Next to me was Alven, his breathing was unsteady, with his leg injury still oozing blood. Thick iron chains bound his wrists, designed for the most dangerous of prisoners; it was clear Liam wasn't willing to take any risks with him, as he posed the greatest threat. And that meant I was in danger too.Tina's words echoed in my mind: "Liam might be your mate, but I'm the one he's going to marry."The idea twisted my stomach in anger and something else, something I didn't want to acknowledge because part of me still cared, a part I wished I could erase. But emotions can't distract me now. Alven was here, and he had a plan.Alven looked around the room, his sharp eyes assessing our surroundings. "They believe we're powerless," he murmured. "That's their first mistake."I frowned at his injured condition. "Alven, you can
Pain.It was the first thing I felt upon waking. A sharp ache in my wrists from the ropes digging in. My entire body ached, my head shoked, my lips were wounded, and my throat was dry.I was back in Liam's territory.Back in the place from which I had fought to break free. The dim room was infused with the smell of damp stone, illuminated only by a small torch on the wall. I attempted to shift for comfort, but the cold chains on my ankles made it impossible. I had been locked up like an animal.Footsteps.Heavy, slow, purposeful. The door creaked open, and he entered.Liam.His green eyes found me, his expression unreadable. He looked disheveled his shirt stained with blood and his arm bandaged. Though injured from the ambush, he stood tall, unyielding.Unlike me.I glared at him. "I hope you bleed to death."He smirked and moved closer. "Good morning to you too, love."I held at the chains, my anger boiling. "I'm not your love. I was never yours to begin with."Liam knelt next to me,
I fled. The wind stung my face, and my legs ached as I ran faster, refusing to look back. I couldn't afford to hesitate; if I did, Liam would seize me.Branches brushed my skin, while my bare feet sank into the damp earth as I dashed through the dense woods. My heart raced, overwhelming the sounds of dangerous creatures surrounding me. Although the air was chilly, I was drenched in sweat. There was no plan, no destination only the pressing need to escape.Liam's voice echoed in my mind: "You belong to me, Gwen."That wasn't true anymore.A distant howl pierced the night. Then another. Liam's wolves were on the hunt.I drove my legs to run faster, my breath ragged. My body protested, still weak from all I had endured in his pack. But I couldn't stop.If they caught me... I might never have another chance.***My lungs burned as I reached a steep slope, my feet struggling for traction on the loose dirt. My body begged for rest, but I pressed on, my eyes scanning ahead. Then I spotted it
Just as I had thought, that night was only a one time thing.Once we were done, Liam had excused himself, taking off in the direction of the river. I, on the other hand, returned to the pack, trying not to regret what we did. Now, fast-forward to five weeks later, I'm sitting in the fields as usual, watching the warriors spar and listening to little Theo rant about something. Liam barely speaks to me these days; hell he hardly ever looks my way.In these past weeks, I had made friends with Helen who couldn't shift just like me. She told me she had always been afraid to approach me, wondering how I'd react to a pack wolf after all her pack had done.We clicked immediately and she became the only solace I had here.Along with Theo of course."Aunt Gwenny, will you come for the ceremony?" My heart takes a pause at that moment and I have to frown. Liam had been arranged to mate Tina officially. Her pregnancy was true, she was already showing.Seems he was really serious about getting th
The silence that followed Liam's roar was deafening. Even the critters of the forest go quiet at his voice. But I refuse to- not this time."You can roar and run mad all you want! I am tired! I am tired of this; of you! You disgust me, you sicken me, you make me hate like I've never hated before. My parents! I watched my parents be devoured by your kind! I watched their own pack wolves tear them to pieces! And now look...I'm stuck here- with a good for nothing alpha like yourself! Kill me or let me go, Liam. I want nothing to do with you."Tears stream down my face steadily and when I'm done uttering these words, my entire body is shaking.Every single hurt is coming back to me and I cannot understand what to do. What was my fault in all this?Yes, I am an omega, and yes a rogue too. But did I deserve the torture that Silver Moon has subjected me to?Was it necessary?Liam is looking at me intensely; he's not speaking but I can see his fingers twitch. For a while, we don't say anythin
"And of course, I must thank my dear Liam for his unwavering strength and leadership. He's been my rock." She turned to him, her expression soft and adoring.Liam gave a curt nod, his face unreadable.Tina's eyes darted to me, her smile turning sharper. "Though some guests are... uninvited, we all know our Alpha has a heart large enough to extend mercy even where it's undeserved."The crowd tittered with laughter, their eyes locking onto me. My chest tightened, the burn of humiliation spreading through me like wildfire. My mockery hadn't even settled down yet when alpha Maxwell Tina's father chipped in coldly. "Her presence alone contaminates this hall, I don't know why you keep her around, she is a disgrace to your pack and did she really have to be invited to my welcome party Liam?" The cold faced alpha said as he stared at me in disgust. My wolf stirred within me, weak but angry. It clawed at my chest begging for release and before I could think better of it, I snapped."Say that
The healer's words replay in my head as I walk back to the omega house, Helen trailing silently behind me. "Two days if she must conceive." The phrase gnaws at my mind like a persistent thorn. My relief at not being pregnant is quickly overshadowed by the knowledge that I'm not free yet.Freedom is so close I can taste it, but it's also slipping through my fingers.Helen clears her throat behind me, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Do you want me to fetch you anything? Food, maybe?"I glance over my shoulder at her, startled by the offer. Kindness is rare here, especially directed toward me. Suspicion creeps in, but I push it down. She seems genuine, and I'm too drained to dissect her intentions right now."No, thank you," I say, my voice hollow. She nods, her gaze darting to the ground before she scurries off, leaving me alone. As I reach my room, I lock the door behind me and slump against it, closing my eyes. My body feels heavy, weighed down by exhaustion and the relentless ache
