Eight

Xenia was feeling exhausted after the coronation, the party was still holding on but she just couldn't hold on anymore.

She traced her chamber and found some guards outside.

"Greetings, Luna Xenia." They greeted.

"Greetings," Xenia replied with a smile before making her way into the chamber while holding onto the wall for support.

She was surprised to find Roselyn and four other maids inside the room parking and also the chamber was scattered.

"Roselyn... what's going on here?" Xenia muttered, getting their attention.

"I'm so sorry my Luna, I didn't realize you were here. His Highness asked us to move your things to the main chamber." Roselyn replied, while the rest of the maids greeted her.

Xenia nodded in response.

"Where is the main chamber?" Xenia asked.

"It's the Alpha's chamber. He said it will be more comfortable for you." Roselyn answered.

Xenia lifted her head and simply nodded.

"Can you take me to the chamber, I need to rest, please." Xenia calmly asked.

"Sure. Girls, wrap this up quickly. I will escort Her Highness to the chamber." Roselyn instructed and the maid had to obey as she was Luna's maid.

"Follow my lead, your highness," Roselyn said and started walking while Xenia followed her lead.

They arrived at the Alpha's chamber and the strong scent of fresh flower perfume was getting into her nose.

She loved the scent so much.

Two guards standing robotically at the corner wall welcomed Xenia with a greeting, while Roselyn opened the door and Xenia almost fainted due to how captivating the Chamber looked.

Everything is screaming luxury, with a combination of diamond and silver.

As they stepped their foot in it, a very warm temperature welcomed them.

The chamber turns out to be three times bigger than the one she was taken to before.

A king-size golden royal bed was placed in the middle of the room.

A giant mirror, some pictures which Xenia thought to be the Alpha's parent pictures because a young him was standing in the middle of two beautiful couples.

She stared around. The floor was made of marble.

She used to think that Silver Glow was one heck of an expensive pack but here at Red Claws, everything is giving wealth.

"Here is the bedroom. Let's walk to the living room." Roselyn said as Xenia stared around.

"A living room, after this?" Xenia asked, surprised.

"Sure, you will love to see it, my Luna. Come on." Roselyn answered with a small chuckle and led the way to the living room.

The walls are adorable with gold leaf accents and ornate tapestries, painted in rich Royal blue.

There was an oversized throne-like armchair ornate sofas, and a majestic table placed in the center of the room.

Then Roselyn took her to the bathroom and just as she expected, everything was extravagantly made and it amazed her how much money it took to build this.

"By the way, Luna, I was able to get the history of the great queen from the Alpha's library," Roselyn said. Xenia was excited.

"Thank you so much, Roselyn. I will surely read this right away." Xenia replied.

"Anything for my Luna. I will be taking my leave, do you need anything?"

Roselyn asked.

"No, I'm fine, thank you," Xenia answered.

"Alright. Have some rest, and call me as soon as you need something." Roselyn said before leaving.

Xenia looked around the room, trying to pinch herself that everything was real and she wasn't dreaming.

It all felt too good to be true. The people's acceptance, the Alpha's love and care, the maid's respecting her, it all felt like a dream she might never want to wake up.

She opened the book, history of the Great Queen, Ivory, and as she read, she saw lots of reasons why she was handled the sword of power by her husband, she deserved it.

The door opened and Alpha Maxwell entered the room.

The door sound opening got Xenia's attention, even though she was caught up reading the history.

"Hey, Xenia, I thought you were sleeping," Maxwell said, pulling a chair and sitting next to her.

"I was feeling sleepy, but after getting the book of the great Luna Ivory, all the sleep disappeared from my eyes. She was so brave, so mighty, so much." Xenia exclaimed, she cooked so excited and Alpha Maxwell loved how free she was with him.

"Yeah, my great-grandma deserved it. She was someone history could never forget." Alpha Maxwell replied.

"That's what's making me wonder. Luna Ivory did everything to deserve the sword of power, but I, on the other hand, just came to the pack yesterday and you handed the sword to me. Why?" Xenia asked, gazing into his eyes.

Maxwell adjusted his seat.

"To be honest, I don't know. But there was something inside me that had a strong faith in you, after all, that you went through, I'm sure you will try to bring positive changes to my pack, that's why I gave you that chance." Maxwell stated.

"But you can't be too sure." Xenia protested.

"I trust my heart, and I know, you will never be a wrong choice for me." Maxwell beamed, his eyes sparkling.

Xenia looked at him and slowly placed her hands on his.

Maxwell was surprised but he loved how she held his hand.

"I will never disappoint you, Your Highness." She smiled.

"I know you will not," Maxwell replied and kissed her forehead.

"So, how about I continue reading the book for you?" He asked.

"I will love that," Xenia answered and he climbed the bed.

"Hope you don't mind?" He asked.

"You are more than welcome." Xenia giggled.

He lay next to her while he placed her head on his chest, then gently opened the book and began reading it to her.

Not long after, Xenia fell asleep and he didn't realize until she comfortably stretched her body on him.

He dropped the book, staring at her and how cute and innocent she looked.

He used his finger and wipe away a strand of hair from her face.

"I'm going to give you the best life. My Luna." He exclaimed and kissed her cheeks, then carefully got off the bed and laid her on the right spot, before covering her up with a huge duvet.
