Episode 21

Alpha Phaedro was overly excited, he had meetings to attend on the pack development, but he decided to cancel it and took Luna Nadia to the hospital to run some tests that would confirm her pregnancy.

Luna Nadia, on the other hand, was excited too, knowing fully well that this pregnancy would definitely belong to Alpha Phaedro and she couldn't wait to shame Emaline's curse for not working out.

They waited outside the laboratory section of the hospital with guards guarding the place.

Nadia couldn't stop smiling.

"Aren't you nervous?" Alpha Phaedro asked, breaking the silence.

She was holding her hand with a cotton, from which her blood sample was taken.

"Nervous? No, I'm not, I'm very sure that I'm pregnant, I know the signs. Oh my God, I can't wait for us to be parents, take care of our kids, teach them to do and don't of the Royals…" Nadia kept mentioning, while Alpha Phaedro beamed.

He also couldn't finally wait to get an heir who would take over his pack one day, he or she would be the only true thing he owned.

Maybe that will melt his heart at what Emaline did.

The door to the laboratory was opened by the doctor, and she stepped out holding a white paper.

Alpha Phaedro and Nadia stood up eagerly.

"So, doctor, how was it?" Nadia asked.

The doctor smiled.

"Don't worry, we can talk about it at my office. Your highness, please let's go." The doctor said with a slight bow and took the lead while Alpha Phaedro and Nadia followed suit.

They arrived at the doctor's office, and she removed her laboratory coat, and then took her seat.

"Have a seat, please." She said and they did.

"What's wrong with my Luna, doctor?" Phaedro inquired, staring at Nadia who covered her face with her hands shyly.

The doctor also looked at Nadia before dropping the white paper.

"It's not a big issue and definitely not something we cannot control and…"

"I already told him! I knew it wasn't a big deal, I knew it, I felt it!" Nadia exclaimed.

"You do?" The doctor asked, looking at Nadia strangely.

"Yes…I know I'm pregnant." Nadia giggled.

"Wait… pregnant? No, you are not!" The doctor said, dropping the bombshell.

Alpha Phaedro's widened his disbelief, his mouth a bit opened with shock.

"No, no, I'm pregnant, I knew it, I felt it!"

Nadia screamed, bursting into tears.

"I felt all the symptoms! I was feeling dizzy, headache, nauseous, check the damn results again! Or maybe wear an eyeglasses because I am pregnant." Nadia sobbed, burying her face in her hands.

The doctor nodded her head.

"I'm Sorry, Luna Nadia, I know after your miscarriage this will be heartbreaking to you, but you are not pregnant, the test results showed it, and we can conduct another test if you want, but I'm sure the result will be the same. You may have experienced some symptoms similar to pregnancy, but it's likely due to other factors." The doctor exclaimed, trying to calm her down, but she cried loudly.

Alpha Phaedro's face darkened with anger and disappointment.

"What other factors?" Alpha Phaedro questioned.

The doctor clasped her hands together.

"Well, according to the results, your body is trying to go back in shape after losing your first pregnancy, which means, you are about to get your period soon, it's happens like this most of the time." She exclaimed.

"My period? Are you saying that I don't have a close chance of getting pregnant? I had been having sex back to back with Alpha Phaedro, I should be pregnant by now!" Nadia ranted her eyes filled with tears, and she looked at Alpha Phaedro with a mix of fear and despair.

Alpha Phaedro's anger softened slightly as he saw the distress in Nadia's eyes. He took her hand in his and rubbed it with his finger.

"We are going to keep on trying, okay? It's still very early." He said, his voice a little gentler.

"Alpha Phaedro was right, it's still early, and It doesn't matter how many times you are both intimate, you have to take note of your fertile days when your eggs are ready to accept his sperm that will in turn create a baby. I will prescribe some medication and the sickness will go away in no time." The doctor stated with a soft smile.

Nadia's heart was heavy.

"It's all her fault! If I hadn't lost my pregnancy when she pushed me down the stairs, I would have been counting on my expected date of delivery, not this." Nadia muttered as she burst into more tears.

Mentioning the name of Emaline brought so much anger to Alpha Phaedro.

"Yes, she caused it, none of this would have happened if not for her." He muttered, and he felt the punishment he gave her was so lenient.

He was filled with rage and his veins were popping out.

"Let's go." He said, with his eyes red.

"But…"

Nadia tried to say but he cut her off.

"I said, let's leave!" He thundered and stood up, then stormed out of the hospital with Nadia trilling behind him.

The guards opened his car.

"Drive." He ordered.

"To where Your Highness?" The driver questioned.

"To help! Fucking drive the car!" Alpha Phaedro shouted, making them all flinch, the driver started the engine and drove off.

Alpha Phaedro returned to the palace, and he was unable to say anything, his throat was dry, and he couldn't speak.

He walked straight to his study room and he saw a newspaper.

"The new Luna of Red Claw's pack banned the popular women auctioning market, read more." The headline reads and something in him clicked.

He took the newspapers and looked through for her pictures, but he couldn't find any.

"What if Xenia is Emaline?" He muttered and left the study room, he went to meet with someone, the only person who could help uncover the true scenario of whom the new Luna of Red claw's pack is.

"Your Highness, you shouldn't have taken the trouble of coming here, you could have called me and I will be at your doorstep." A masked guy stated.

"I came all the way because I need you to do something for me urgently, and I cannot wait, check this." Alpha Phaedro said and dropped the newspapers on the table.

"Luna of Red Claw's pack…"

"I'm not asking you to read the headlines for me, I need you to find out who she is, the Luna Xenia or whatever her name is, sneak to the pack, draw her portrait, and bring it to me." Alpha Phaedro ordered.

The man looked confused.

"But we are not allowed to be at Red Claw's pack because we are not on good terms, and if I get found, the Alpha can kill me, the law warrants him." The man exclaimed.

"Well, that is your problem, if you like, let them catch you, but if you are able to uncover who the Luna is, and it meets with my expectations, I will reward you with one million gold coins and a house." Alpha Phaedro stated.

"Really? I'm in, I will do it." The man said, his face beaming with happiness.
