Five

Chapter five.

Alpha Maxwell already knew Emaline needed more rest, so he let her have all day to herself while he assigned his beta to make a public announcement for all his subjects to assemble at the Royal pack hall for the announcement of their new Luna.

*The next day*

The news of Alpha Maxwell finding his mate had spread to every knocks and corners of the pack and the subjects were so excited to finally be able to witness their great Alpha getting through the curse of the witch which also means he didn't have to die at 30 anymore.

Emaline was already woken up by the physician who came to check up on her health.

"You are recovering pretty soon, my lady." The physician said and before Emaline could respond, the cracking sound of cups and spoons filled the entire Chamber, followed by the strong aura of her new mate, Alpha Maxwell.

The physician immediately fell on her knees, bowing her head.

"Greetings, Alpha." She greeted.

"Rise." He ordered and she immediately stood on her feet.

The guards were already shocked as they saw their Alpha carrying a tray of food by himself, strange!

He placed the food next to Emaline on the table and sat next to her, with a warm smile.

"Good morning, Luna Xenia." His sweet comforting voice echoed through the room and Emaline or should we say, Xenia smiled.

"Good morning, Your Highness." She replied.

He brushed her hair gently with his fingers.

"You are glowing. I'm addicted." He said and gently placed a kiss on her forehead.

Immediately he came closer to her, her heart started beating uncontrollably and a chill shiver ran through her veins.

She thought she would pee her pants.

"So, doctor. How is my Luna's health?" He asked.

"She is getting so much better, or should I say, completely healed up? Thanks for your powerful blood." The physician said and Xenia looked a bit sad.

Does the physician here also think she is a weakling?

Alpha Maxwell noticed her face.

"My Luna is already strong even before the blood. My blood only helped her heal faster." Maxwell scolded.

"My bad, I apologize, your highness." The physician said.

"How is the baby doing?" Maxwell asked.

Xenia was flattered that he stood up for her.

That's something she was never used to getting.

"Actually, there are three babies in her womb. Not one." The physician said and their eyes both lit up with shock and excitement.

"Oh, Moon Goddess! Three." Alpha Maxwell excitedly said, his smile reaching his ear and Xenia never expected the genuine happiness she saw on his face.

You know, the one that someone does when the pregnancy belongs to him.

"Yes, three. That's why I will advise not for Luna to go through any stress at all. Plus, I will have to run some tests for her but it will be in the hospital." The physician said.

"Don't worry, I will bring her." Alpha Maxwell said and the Physician couldn't believe it.

"I mean...I can come to get her, you don't have to..."

"She is my wife, my responsibility, and my Luna. You get it?" Alpha Maxwell stated.

The feelings of joy that Xenia felt were undescribable, the sweet stares she received from Maxwell and his beautiful Charming eyes made her know that everything was going to be fine with her life.

The physician finally was done and left.

Maxwell brought the food close to her.

"Serving breakfast on the bed for my Royal wife." Alpha Maxwell dramatically said and she giggled.

"Thank you so much," Xenia replied and a rush of pain ran through her.

"You don't look happy, don't you like the food? I can ask the chef to prepare you another one." Maxwell said studying her face.

Xenia sniffed, trying not to cry, but the tears were already choking from her throat.

"It's okay, it's going to be all fine," Maxwell said and sat on the bed, then pulled her head on his chest, patting her hair gently.

The comfort from Maxwell's chest made her calm and she took her head from his chest.

He used his thumb and wiped a tear away from her eyes.

"You don't have to keep on crying. Your tears are precious, and I swear I will rather lose a battle than to see my Mate cry." Alpha Maxwell exclaimed.

"The food you served to me..I...I just remembered getting fed with stale bread, the smelly ones once a day. A very dirty water and..." Xenia paused to catch a breath.

Maxwell squeezed her hands in his and the pain he saw on her face angered him so much that he just wanted to punch the Alpha of Silver Glow, Alpha Phaedro.

"Let's stop crying, okay? Your food is getting cold. Or don't you want your Alpha to feed you with his hands?" Alpha Maxwell said, with a bright smile.

Xenia giggled sweetly.

He washed his hands and fetched the food with his hand and slowly reached it close to Xenia's mouth.

Staring right into his eyes, and thanking the Moon Goddess for the perfect second chance, she opened her mouth and he fed her carefully while she devoured the food as it was long she had one, even when she was Alpha Phaedro's concubine.

Soon after, she was done eating and Maxwell washed his hands and returned.

"Roselyn will get you ready. I will be announcing you as my Luna, today." Alpha Maxwell exclaimed and Xenia was shocked.

"Luna? But..." She tried to say.

He smirked cutely.

"No buts, my queen. The world needs to be aware of the treasure I found." He said with a wink.

Alpha Maxwell left the room telling her he wanted to get something done.

Roselyn came inside the room and was about to bow, Xenia stopped her.

"I told you, Roselyn, I'm not interested in all of this," Xenia muttered.

"I still need my head, my Luna. I can't take the risk." Roselyn replied.

"My Luna, the grand announcement is coming up soon and the Alpha had instructed me to make you the most beautiful Luna to have ever existed," Roselyn added and it made Xenia laugh.

"His highness is so funny. How can you make me the most beautiful Luna to ever exist?" Xenia asked.

"Watch me do it," Roselyn said with a boost of confidence and since it was Xenia's order to have having bath by herself, Roselyn waited for her.

When she was done, Roselyn massaged her skin with fresh olive oil directly gathered from the seeds.

The makeup begins and Xenia is loving everything about her new life.

Instead of Silver Glow where its only language is power and wealth and strength, here, she saw love, fun, and adventures that were waiting for her.

"You know, my Lady. You are the luckiest woman to have Alpha Maxwell." Roselyn said as she brushed Xenia's long hair.

"Many packs had dropped their ego and brought their female children to every Moon celebration so one of them could be lucky to be his highness's mate, but it was never any of them. The Moon Goddess had been keeping him all these while just for you. She's great, indeed." Roselyn narrated.

"Tell me more about Alpha Maxwell," Xenia stated.

"Alpha Maxwell, his name alone screams power, kindness, generosity, and the only Alpha who will never rest until his subjects are happy. Alpha Maxwell can go to any length to make his pack happy.

And when we talk about bravery, he is the bravest warrior, and Alpha who had expanded the pack's territory by winning several battles.

His strength had brought such a good name to our pack and it subjects that wherever we go, we are highly respected." Roselyn narrated more and more about the greatness of her newfound mate.

And with every word of Roselyn, made Xenia's heart beat with excitement.

Alpha Maxwell arrived at the dressing room and hid, only Roselyn saw him.

He signaled her to be out and she coughed.

"Um, my Luna, I think I need some water. I will be right back." Roselyn said and rushed away immediately.

Xenia stared at herself in the mirror, admiring the new life that was given to her when she felt something placed on her neck.

She panicked and Alpha Maxwell immediately laughed.

"You need to see the look on your face, Luna." He said, still laughing.

Xenia pouted.

"You scared me." She frowned.

"Oh come on, my precious jewel, don't be mad at me, I just want to surprise you with this." Alpha Maxwell said and brought out a very shining, sparkling diamond necklace and placed it on Xenia's neck, after lifting her hair a bit.

Xenia couldn't believe what was going on.

"My first gift to you, my Luna." He said and kissed her neck, she almost moaned.

Her hands trailed to her neck and everything felt like a dream to her.

"Everyone is waiting for you, I'm also waiting to tell everyone, you are mine." He said and put her hair back before walking out of the dressing room, leaving her completely speechless.

Episode six.

Roselyn returned to the dressing room.

Her heels clicked against the tiles as she marched into the dressing room, but despite the uncomfortable sound of her heels, it didn't get Xenia's attention as she was so lost staring at the gift his highness had just given to her.

The bright light of the necklace was what welcomed Roselyn and she gasped.

"The queen's mother's necklace!" She gasped, and her word caught Xenia's attention as she flinched.

"Sorry, my Luna, I didn't mean to scare you. I was just, shocked." Roselyn exclaimed, her facial giving justice to the shock she had within.

"The Alpha just gifted me the necklace," Xenia replied, knowing that was the answer Roselyn needed to hear.

She was drooling by just staring at it.

"I cannot believe this. This is like the most precious thing to Alpha Maxwell. It was his mother's necklace, and he carried it along with him like he felt her presence whenever the necklace was with him. For him to really gift you this, it means, you are more than you could ever imagined to be in Alpha Maxwell's heart." Roselyn stated.

Xenia didn't even know how to react.
