CHAPTER 19

RUBY’S POV

Quickly, I dashed for Clarissa’s room and I flung the door open to see she was busy typing away on her laptop. I felt sorry for distracting her when she was so busy setting up her business but I needed her help at that moment and it couldn’t be later.

“Is something wrong? You look terrified” She asked me and I joined her on the bed before speaking.

“Dax just asked me out on a date and I don’t know what I’m going to do,” I freaked out and she closed her laptop shut before fixing her whole attention on me.

“But you have gone on dates with him before. Why are you freaking out now?” she asked me and I palmed my face because I didn’t know why either.

I was just losing my mind over the fact that I was going on a date with Dax after eight years. I wasn’t supposed to because I didn’t feel anything for him again. it was supposed to be a piece of cake for me but instead, I was feeling unsettled about the idea of dressing up to go out alone with Dax.
