DAX’S POV

We walked into my office and Simon shut the door before he turned to me and waited for me to answer his question. I knew I was his employer and he was my bodyguard but he was practically family to me already. There wasn’t any kind of discussion we didn’t have because we got along that much and I didn’t care much about bossing him around. He always knew what to do.

“I’m going on a date with Ruby tonight,” I told him and I watched his eyes widen. Then he walked closer to the table while I was busy flipping through the pages of a document for a quick sign that was required for an approval.

“Are you serious? Ruby agreed to go on a date with you?” he asked me and I frowned at him.

“Why are you so surprised? Is it weird she agreed? Weren’t we both hoping this plan of moving to Denmark would work?” I asked so many questions all at the same time while I wondered why he was so surprised that I got Ruby to go on a date with me and he held his hands up in defense.
