In the morning, right after I got dressed in my light blue scrub suit, tied my hair, I exited the room and headed straight for Brianna’s room.

As I used to do, I knocked three times and waited five seconds before proceeding to her room.

When I entered, I found Brianna sitting on her bed, looking back and forth at the places where she had arranged the teddy bears.

Last night, after what Sir Calix did to the teddy bears, he took all of them and descended downstairs. I don’t know where he took them because he sent me back to my room and let me rest.

Brianna accidentally caught my eye for a moment. Her blank expression became a shocking expression, and her eyes widened.

I smiled at her and asked, “Can I come to you?” I asked her for consent.

She nodded in response.

I breathed a sigh of relief as she allowed me.

“May I sit in your bed?” I asked again as I was near her.

She nodded again.

I smiled widely when she let me.
