ALPHA DUNCAN’S POV

I went over to Selena’s room and knocked softly.

There was no response at first. But then after knocking a few times, she responded telling me to enter.

I opened the door slowly, not knowing what to expect. Would she be angry at me for bringing up the past? Would she be too emotional to talk? I was prepared for anything.

But when I entered the room, Selena was sitting on her bed staring out the window. She turned to me as I entered.

“Hey, Selena. How are you doing?” I asked.

“I’m alright. Doctor Otsuki came and did some more test on me and just left before you came in.” she informed me.

“Did he say what it was for?” I asked.

“Well, he wanted to check my bloodstream to be sure that I don’t have more silver poison in my blood.” she said.

“What did he say?” I asked, feeling a little worried. Selena had been through so much already, and I didn’t want her to have to go through anything else.

“He said that I’m in the clear.” she said, giving me a small smile.
