CHAPTER 128

SELENA’S POV

I watched through my window of my room as the pack fighters left the pack to find Alpha Fredrick and end his plans to stop the peace they were beginning to enjoy.

I wasn’t okay with the fact that Alpha Duncan had to leave, but I knew that his mind was already made up so I knew there was no use in convincing him to stay.

Tears ran down my face as I worried about his return.

I closed my eyes and I tried to calm my mind. I knew that worrying would not help the situation, but it was really difficult to stop the anxious thoughts from swirling around my head.

I took a deep breath, and I tried to focus on the positive. Alpha Duncan was strong and brave, and I knew that he would do everything in his power to keep our pack safe.

Still, my heart ached for him. I wished that there was another way, but I knew that this was the only option.

I looked out the window, and I saw the pack fighters disappearing into the distance.
