Chapter 23 – The Queen Waits and Waits
Freedom from the count’s lecherous intent was momentary, for the instant Hope crossed the boundary of his estate to the bustling streets of Caym’s city, new demons and souls started to flock her.They maintained a safe distance, yes, but she could feel their dark eyes on her as she advanced into the tower. Chapter 26 –The Queen and Her ScytheStanding inside the battleground now made Solene feel more like an ant. The arena was even larger at this angle. Even more imposing. Even more suffocating. Chapter 28 – The Queen HiddenThey all looked like red ants walking towards an anthill ready to serve their queen’s whims. Hope cursed at herself and this situation.
