Chapter 24 – The Queen Prepares for Battle
Stepping out of the transport was a choice Hope could do, but instead, she contemplated on the witch’s words and an idea formed in her head.“Then let me test you now,” she asked while taking the bracelet from her lap. “Caym’s chamber, where is it? If I’m going to search his excessively decorated castle, I might as well search first in his bedroom for my friend.”
Clarita smiled, seeing hope in her question.
“Unfortunately, no one has ever been to Caym’s chamber, Your Majesty. No one needs to when he visits the harem tower himself,” she answered, and Hope made a disappointed face.
“However,” Clarita continued and stretched a proud grin across her face. “I am not just his concubine, I am his soothsayer, so luckily I have been there. Well, in one of his chambers in the second tower at least.”

Chapter 26 –The Queen and Her ScytheStanding inside the battleground now made Solene feel more like an ant. The arena was even larger at this angle. Even more imposing. Even more suffocating. Chapter 28 – The Queen HiddenThey all looked like red ants walking towards an anthill ready to serve their queen’s whims. Hope cursed at herself and this situation. Why did she pose as a concubine in the first place? Why didn’t she volunteer as a servant instead?
