Chapter 35: Illegal

Because of how he is now acting, I have a strong urge to reprimand him right now. He was hacking up such a storm that he didn't even turn his back on me but instead stayed outdoors looking at his laptop till another sneeze came out of my mouth, at which point I got to my feet and left him in peace. I only wanted to keep the stillness, but I couldn't stop myself from speaking up.

"Can you stop smoking?" I asked in a hushed and desperate voice.

Ares raised his eyes to look at me, then took a puff of his cigarette just before hurling it over the balcony.

Without a shadow of a doubt, I responded by stating, "I'm sorry, but it's kind of bothering my nose."

He did both of those things at the same time, and then he nodded. "Enter the room and lock the door behind you. Adjust the temperature of the air conditioner so that you can get some rest."
