Five: Who was this man even?

I broke out in cold sweats as I waited in Saint's car with mixed emotions. What had happened in there? Was Saint hurt? Or was it my uncle?

I picked at my cuticles multiple times as I kept on peeking at the gate.

A few minutes later, Saint strutted out of the house and towards the car looking as calm as ever. His man bun which had been packed all along had little strands coming to his face.

Unmistakably, he had shot my uncle and the fact that I wasn't hearing my uncle's voice any longer might have well sent a message to me that he was probably dead.

I felt a mild sense of relief and at the same time, a bittersweet emotion about my uncle.

He got into the driver's seat and examined my body for the second time again. "He didn't do it right?"

I shook my head slowly at him. "No."

And with that, we drove off.

I didn't know why I couldn't bring myself to ask him about my uncle but at the same time, it wasn't like I cared that much. At least now, I didn't need to run away or hide any longer, he was dead and that was final.

The fresh morning breeze crept in through the open windows as we rode silently. I looked out admiring the sunrise at a distance. From the corner of my eye, I saw Saint steal a glance at me from time to time.

"So why did he kidnap you?" He asked like he had been waiting for the perfect time to do so all along.

I sighed before looking away. "I ran away from his house. I hated it there." I said feeling the spite in my voice.

"You used to live there with Tequila?" He asked again. His voice was calmer than it was when he barged into the room.

"Yeah. Him, myself and Suzy," I told him and he cocked an eyebrow at me, "She's my sister." I said which made him nod.

"I can see why you ran away."

I turned abruptly to look at him. Was he talking about me running away from my uncle or running away from the bar? Did she find out I ran away from the bar? Oh, good lord.

"You won't be able to run away from me again though," He spoke again.

I sighed defeated. He knew after all that I had tried to run away. I mean, he was Saint.

"I'm sorry," I said quietly. "I was just scared. And I knew my uncle had found me,"

"No parents?"

"My mum ran away after my dad died, she dumped us with him and just disappeared. I heard she's in China right now. Not that I care that much." I replied biting my lower lip.

He nodded at that.

As much as I had just met this man a few days ago, he had saved me twice already. I had started to feel safe for once in my life and he was the one making me feel that way.

Everything I heard about him at the bar was him being dangerous, and stoic, had girls throwing themselves at him, I mean I could see why the girls were. But here I was, becoming fond of him, feeling safe with him which was like seeing a different side of him. Maybe I was jumping to conclusions and already judging him based on a few days' events but that was what I saw.

He pulled over to the side of the road and stopped the car.

"What's going on?" I asked him snapping out of my thoughts and looking around. I was even about to start undoing my seat belt.

"Nothing. Just sit still." He told me then reached to the back of the car and got out a little first aid box. I watched his muscles which were visible under the long-sleeved shirt he wore that was rolled up to his elbow. They flexed involuntarily with every movement he took. I looked away before he could see me checking him out.

"You have a cut on your lip and chin," He said. I hadn't even noticed all this while and I guessed I had gotten it from struggling with my uncle.

"You carry that around?" I asked him watching as he opened it.

"Yeah pretty much."

He leaned in and started cleaning the cuts and it stung with each dab. I observed his face as he concentrated on mine and every now and then, we had little eye contact that would follow and I would look down from his strong gaze.

Gradually, I saw him rest his eyes on my lips as his thumb ran circles around them softly. He looked back at me and before I knew what was happening, he rested his lips on mine, kissing me.

His fingers traced my thighs upwards and rested inside my shirt sending little signals down my spine.

He stopped kissing me and looked at me, I saw his eyes darken as they looked from my eyes down to my chest.

I reached to touch his hand but he stopped me almost immediately. "I asked you to sit still sweetie," He said.

Hearing him call me sweetie seemed so unreal that I couldn't help but just sit still and stare at him obediently.

He gently ran his hands through the shirt cupping each of my boobs one at a time but not long enough for me to enjoy the pleasure. He watched me moan with each touch and a smirk appeared on his lips.

"Good girl," He said as he continued.

I didn't try to stop him either, I just wanted to bypass whatever experience I had with my uncle. I wanted to forget my uncle's house, today's incident, everything.

He made me spread my thighs and unbuttoned my shorts, slipping his fingers inside and reaching for my tingling spot. He slowly slipped one finger in, and then two watched as I bit my lower lip trying to stop the moan from escaping.

I opened my eyes to see him, an amused look in his eyes as he watched me. He was definitely teasing me and totally enjoying himself.

He removed his fingers just as it was almost about to be intense and put them in my mouth, "Lick them, sweetie,"

I slowly obeyed again, tasting my own self while he watched me all the while.

"You'd remember this as what happened today and forget every other irrelevant stuff."

After that, he turned and put the first aid box behind the seats. "Also, that's what you get for trying to run away."

I stared at him as he drove into the road again, his side view as beautiful as it could ever be, wishing he didn't stop. At that moment, I wanted him, I needed him, I wanted him to continue. But he didn't, he didn't even glance at me for a second any longer.

This man was starting to take a toll on me, he had just wanted to tease me or more so, punish me and that was that but I didn't care, I really didn't.

I started to question myself. I didn't know what exactly it was. But was I falling for this? Was I starting to have feelings for him?

I glanced one more time as he stopped in front of a traffic light, the next thing I heard was a loud thud, something or someone, hitting our car from behind.
