Shopping Disaster

Riele's POV

I opened my mouth in awe as I stared at the building in front of me. 'Nice, plain and simple. I love it' my thoughts ran wild while I admired the place.

On getting in, I noticed that the place was not buzzing with people as I had expected. Jayden led me to a table and pulled out a chair for me "Thank you" I said before taking a seat.

Just as he took a seat opposite mine, a woman around her mid-fifties came up to us with an apron wrapped around her waist.

"What would you like?" The woman asked with a smile drawn on her wrinkled face. Her green eyes twinkled in fascination, and I felt drawn to her but then repulse replaced every admiration I had towards her as she licked her plump lips and stared at Jayden.

"What would you like?" Jayden turned to ask me either ignoring her flirting or not knowing.

"Fruit salad, please" I replied politely and watched as the woman scribbled it down in the little notepad in her hands.

"Is that all?" He asked again with his brows raised questioningly.

"A glass of water would be nice. I'm not a breakfast person" I responded shyly.

"Alright. I'll have cottage cheese, fruit salad and fruit juice" he requested. With that, the woman left our table to the kitchen with her waist swinging at unnatural angles.

With her gone, we began talking, getting to know each other. In about a few minutes, our food got served to us.

Once we were done, he paid for our meal after at least a ten minutes argument on whether he should pay for my food or not, but in the end, he won just by luck. He drove me back to my company.

He stopped just in front of the gates "Thank you" I said and was about to open the door to get out, when he pulled me back by my forearm.

In pure shock, I turned to face him only to burn beet red at our proximity. If only I could move a centimetre forward then he and I would be locking lips but I refrained myself.

"I had absolute fun today. Maybe we could grab lunch another time, and this time, all bills on me" he breathed out, and I almost pass out from how husky his voice sounded.

Not trusting my voice, I managed to nod my head in agreement. He let go of my arm then moved away from my face. Finally, I could breathe properly, but I didn't make it obvious that he affected me. So I got down from his car in haste.

I waved at him and watched him drive away before I walked into my company with my brain playing back the events of the last twenty seconds. I sighed before walking into the reception.

"Hey Liz" I said as I got in.

"Hi Riele" she replied with a nod. I went up to my office using the elevator. Once I stepped out of the elevator, I met Stephanie on her seat with her eyes glued to the computer, typing away as usual.

"Hey Steph, how was your day off?" I asked, approaching her.

"Not bad. Thanks for letting me get one. You were right, I did need it" she answered, grinning.

"My pleasure" I said. Once I was in my office, I got down to business.

It was now 12:30 pm; Time to leave. I organised my table, separating the papers I've done from the ones I haven't. I got up and went through the door.

"I'll be gone for a while. I have to be in Miami tomorrow. Please take care of things while I'm gone" I explained as I got into Steph's office.

"Alright" Steph replied, nodding her head.

"Can you find someone that can temporarily fill in for Lizzy?. She'll be coming as well" I added.

"I'll figure out what I can do. Have a safe trip" she said. I nodded then went downstairs to the reception. Once I got there, Ella was already there, chatting with Lizzy excitedly.

"Hi Ella" I sent a wave in her direction.

"Hey Riele, ready?" she asked.

"Yeah" I replied.

"But first, we have to call an Uber because I didn't come with my car" I said, pulling out my phone to call an uber.

We all got out of the car and my eyes bulged in surprise as Ella dashed into the mall like a crazy person. "ELLA!" I called out for her. It took a few minutes but she came back to us with her hair covering her face in embarrassment.

"Sorry" she apologised, making me laugh before paying the man and then we ventured into the mall, going into the first shop in view, which happened to be the shop Jayden works. Ella and Lizzy began looking for dresses straight away.

"Do you know how long we'll be there?" Ella asked, checking out a cloth. It was a short yellow gown with the top of it torn just to showcase the top part of girls' boobs.

"Come to think of it, I never asked. Let me call her" I realised before pulling my phone out of my handbag.

R: Hey big sis.

K: Hey Riele. What's up?

R: I would like to ask, for how long will we be in Miami?

K: He said for two days. There will be two parties during those days. So prepare yourself.

R: Alright, thank you. Bye

K: Bye.

"It'll be for two days. There will be two parties" I informed.

"OK so we will need two dresses" she thought out loud while skimming through clothes.

"I guess so. But one has to be very fashionable while the other shouldn't be too formal" Lizzy suggested, and Ella agreed.

"Don't you need to look for clothes for yourself?" Lizzy asked me.

"I already have one. Dad sent me one with the tickets. All I'll be needing now is another cloth for the other party" I responded.

"Should we wear matching coloured dresses?" Ella proposed excitedly.

"Yeah, let's do it. What's the colour of your dress Riele?" Lizzy demanded, skimming through some clothes.

"Wine" I answered, looking through a few hangers for clothes.

"I found the perfect one" Ella exclaimed before running into the dressing room, not giving us a chance to even glance at the cloth.

She finally came out after two minutes, and she was gorgeous. "How do I look?" she said, giving us a twirl. It was a wine-sleeveless dress with flower patterns on them made of stones. It was short at the front but long at the back.

"Like the dress was made for you from heaven" I commented.

"It looks pretty on you" Lizzy complimented, to which Ella squealed before going back into the dressing room.

"Now, what colour should the second dress be?" Ella asked as she got out of the room with her formal clothes on.

"I'm thinking green. What do you guys think?" I asked, pulling out a green dress. It was short and felt like silk. I didn't like it, so I put it back.

"I guess" Lizzy shrugged, pulling out a dress from the rack. "I'll be back" she said while running into the dressing room.

After a few minutes, she came out looking beautiful. "Wow! Liz, you look like a goddess" Ella exclaimed.

"You sure?" she asked, chewing her lips in uncertainty.

"Positively. It looks beautiful" I said, watching the skirt sweep on the floor as she walked. It was an off-shoulder dress and highly endowed with stones making it glitter when light shone on it. The colour highly complimented her skin.

She walked back into the dressing room. "Alright, now for the green dresses" she said, after changing back into her formal clothes.

"I found one" I announced before running into the dressing room. I finally came out, "How do I look?" I asked. I smiled at the gown. It was short and sleeveless. The top was made of black lace but wasn't see-through. It reached a little about my mid-thigh.

Just as I was about to twirl and admire the shimmer of the dress, a crash sounded behind me, making everyone within the proximity scream. Before I could turn and see the cause of the commotion, something struck my head and for a second everything went dark.
