'I am Adam's betrothed' That was the only thing that my brain registered and kept replaying in my head. I looked to Evan to say something but he avoided my eyes, looking interestingly at his glass of wine. I was dumbfounded; I couldn't form words out of my mouth. I kept quiet, why does it hurt? This is what I wanted, for him to move on with his life because I don't feel ready to walk into another relationship.

He took the bottle and was about to drink from it when I snatched it from his hands." I am fine" he slurred. Am I supposed to believe that when he is drinking this much and there is a visible bag under his eyes?
