Chapter Seventeen

"Because I want you here with me," he said his eyes looking directly at me, my inside turned into mush as he said those words. I think I am falling in love with him but who knows it might just be a mere physical attraction.

"What about her?" I asked. I shouldn't be asking him this question since I was the one who told him that I wanted nothing to do with him. "You claim I am your mate, your other half, the one your soul longs for yet you go around having betrothed"

" I never knew I had a mate, sunshine" he coaxed. My stomach flipped in excitement at the endearment, that I almost forgot what he said. Oh, I seem to forget no one made him believe he could have a mate.

"That is not an excuse" I lied. I turned my attention to his bedside table. There was a juice carton there but something told me it wasn't juice that was there.

"I know," he said. His lips had a hint of a smile on them, but his eyes showed how amused he was as they sparkled in the bright light.

"But she doesn't know I am you
