Chapter Thirty-five

My beast didn't mind running with this male. We ran through the thick forest, dodging trees and falling branches. I was enjoying the thrill of it. It felt like I could never get caught.

Jerry was in front of us but he turned back now and then to see if we were still there or maybe just to ogle at us. I intentionally didn't want to outrun him because we didn't know where he was taking us. We occasionally nip at his paws and he playfully growls at us.

We turned to an unused path. The land was a bit rocky but Jerry climbed it like it was a piece of cake, like it was nature to him. The scent on this path was old and the only dominant scent was of his and Adam. He and Adam must have used this path on their own more often.

The rocky land was a bit tricky because my wolf was not used to this kind of work, but we did well to keep up not showing how hard it was for us. I didn't want him to think we were some weak female with alpha blood. The land finally leveled out as we ran through a thick
